Overview

Ivalua brings contracts from creation and negotiation through execution and renewal into a shared workspace. Procurement and legal teams can collaborate on drafts, comment, track versions, and route reviews and approvals. The repository connects contract terms and obligations with stakeholders, risk, pricing, and performance, making it more useful for enterprise oversight than for document storage alone.

Its wider procurement connections are a practical advantage when contract decisions should draw on sourcing, supplier, order, invoice, and spend data. Organizations that only need basic storage or signing may find the system’s broader scope unnecessary.

Key features

Authoring, collaboration, and repository

AI-assisted authoring supports clause drafting and classification, risk assessment, approvals, e-signatures, and real-time collaboration using approved templates and clause libraries. That gives legal and procurement a common process for drafting and review, though teams will need to assess whether those workflows fit their own policies.

The repository combines full-text, metadata, and AI-enhanced search with contract summaries and a Contract 360 view of terms, versions, obligations, stakeholders, risk, pricing, and performance. AI can also convert PDF and Word contracts into structured, searchable data and extract key terms, clauses, and obligations, including through mass import of legacy contracts. This is particularly useful for organizations moving a large contract archive into searchable oversight.

Risk, compliance, and analytics

Dashboards track contract health, compliance, risk, performance, cycle time, value, and consumption, while supplier and contract risk alerts help teams monitor exposure. AI risk scoring flags potentially problematic clauses; audit trails, version history, workflows, and a central repository support policy enforcement and audit readiness. These capabilities offer broad visibility, but buyers should distinguish monitoring and flagging from any assumption that software replaces legal review.

Procurement connections and platform

Ivalua integrates natively with its sourcing and procure-to-pay products, connects with major ERP systems, and syncs sourcing, supplier, order, invoice, and spend data. Its Integration Hub identifies SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft among supported systems, and contract signing integrations include DocuSign and Adobe Sign. This ecosystem is a strong reason to consider Ivalua when procurement operations already span those processes.

Ivalua describes its platform as multi-instance SaaS and reports ISO 27001 certification, SOC 2 Type 1, SSAE 18 SOC 1 Type 2, and HIPAA. It says customer data can be hosted in a client-selected geography, with additional encryption, network, and disaster-recovery options. Support includes 24×7 multilingual helpdesk service by phone, email, and online, a customer ticketing portal, Ivalua Community, and Ivalua Academy training. Ivalua describes procurement experiences as mobile-ready and lists mobile tasks as a platform capability.

Pricing

Ivalua Contract Lifecycle Management: custom pricing. This is an enterprise CLM plan, so prospective buyers should evaluate the commercial fit alongside the system’s broader procurement scope. No free plan or trial is established for this offering.

The plan includes approval workflows, purchase orders, supplier management, hosted catalog support, a supplier portal, guided request intake, supplier discovery, sourcing events, reverse auctions, bid comparison, negotiation workflows, supplier onboarding, qualification workflows, document expiry alerts, and performance scorecards. That breadth makes the plan relevant to organizations looking to connect contracting with supplier and sourcing operations, but is unlikely to be necessary for teams buying only basic contract storage or signatures.

Platforms

Ivalua lists Android, iOS, web, and API platforms. Its mobile-ready procurement experiences and mobile task capability support access beyond desktop workflows.

Who it's for

Ivalua is a strong candidate for enterprise procurement and legal teams that need shared contract workflows, searchable legacy agreements, risk and performance oversight, and connections to sourcing, supplier, and ERP data. It is less suited to small teams looking for a simple repository or signing product, particularly when custom pricing and the broader procurement scope are not justified by their needs.

Pros and cons

Pros: AI-assisted drafting, searchable contract intelligence, and mass digitization support both new agreements and legacy archives.
Pros: Contract 360 views, dashboards, risk alerts, and audit trails bring obligations, performance, and compliance into a broader oversight workflow.
Pros: Native Ivalua procurement connections, ERP integrations, and DocuSign and Adobe Sign integrations can link contracts to surrounding operations.
Cons: Custom pricing makes cost evaluation less direct for teams comparing standalone contract tools.
Cons: Its enterprise-wide procurement breadth may be unnecessary for organizations that only need storage, basic review, or signatures.

Alternatives

Consider Arkestro as another paid, web-based option if you are comparing alternatives, though its supplied profile provides no further feature detail for a closer functional comparison. Fairmarkit is also a paid enterprise procurement sourcing platform, with API and web access and demo-based plan details; it may suit buyers comparing sourcing-oriented platforms rather than focusing on Ivalua’s contract lifecycle scope.

Keelvar is another paid enterprise-scale sourcing platform with API and web access and unpublished pricing, making it a relevant option when sourcing is the primary requirement. Market Dojo offers a freemium route and a Simple Sourcing annual licence at 500.00 GBP per year; its plan covers Simple RFx and eAuctions, templates and libraries, Excel integration, and custom fields, so it may be worth considering for buyers whose focus is simpler sourcing rather than enterprise CLM.

Oracle Procurement Contracts costs 405.00 USD per month billed per user per month and includes Procurement Contracts, Supplier Management, and Transactional Business Intelligence for Procurement. It is a concrete alternative for buyers weighing a published per-user price and those stated procurement components; it has no free plan or trial. ProcureSprint PR to PO, SAFAL Strategic Sourcing, and K2 Sourcing Platform are other paid options; K2 offers a customer-customized subscription and a free trial.

Verdict

Choose Ivalua Contract Management if procurement and legal need enterprise-wide contract control tied to sourcing, suppliers, and procurement data. Its strongest case is the combination of contract intelligence, workflow, risk oversight, and integration breadth. Look elsewhere if you need only a lightweight contract tool or want a published price before engaging with a vendor.
