Overview

Huntr brings job tracking together with resume and cover-letter tools, contact storage, and application autofill. A job record can include notes, dates, tasks, descriptions, salaries, locations, and company data, giving searchers more to work with than a simple list of applications. The Contact Tracker stores recruiter and hiring-manager details such as email addresses, phone numbers, and social handles.

Placement-focused organizations can use Huntr Advisor, which serves technical academies, colleges, career coaches, outplacement providers, and workforce-development organizations. Huntr also documents an organization API for member, job, employer, and event information. The company says it will not sell personal data or share it with employers or third-party organizations without consent. It uses third-party services for functions including payments, analytics, AI, storage, and support, and identifies Stripe as its payment processor.

Key features

Tracking and application autofill

The tracker’s range of job details is useful for keeping deadlines, tasks, and role information together. Huntr says its application autofill works on thousands of websites through its Chrome extension, a practical aid for repetitive forms, though it is not a replacement for reviewing each application before submission.

Native iOS and Android apps support browsing jobs and organizing a search on the go. The Chrome extension is the route for the stated autofill capability, so mobile users should not assume that feature carries over to the phone apps.

Resume and cover-letter tools

The resume builder combines professional templates with AI suggestions, proofreading, and one-click PDF export. Resume tailoring extracts keywords, responsibilities, and qualifications from a job description, then scores how well a resume matches. That gives applicants a way to identify where a resume may need attention for a particular role, rather than relying on a general-purpose document.

Huntr also offers AI cover letters and application packets. The free plan includes only two tailored resumes and two application packets, so the tools are easier to evaluate than to use continuously for a high-volume search without upgrading.

Pricing

Huntr is freemium, with an always-free plan and no Pro free trial. The free tier allows tracking up to 100 jobs, two job-tailored resumes, two application packets, and up to 100 document uploads. It also includes a small number of complimentary AI credits. That is a useful starting point for a focused search, but the job cap and limited tailored materials can constrain people applying broadly.

Pro is priced at $40.00 USD per month when billed monthly. It includes unlimited AI credits, tailored resumes, application packets, AI cover letters, job tracking, and document uploads. For longer commitments, Pro Quarterly costs $90.00 USD every 3 months, and Pro Biannual costs $160.00 USD every 6 months; both include the same Pro features. Those totals work out to lower monthly costs than paying monthly, but require paying for multiple months at once. The paid-from figure of $26.66/mo corresponds to the biannual billing option, not the monthly plan.

Pro suits job seekers who have outgrown the free quotas or need unlimited tracking and AI-assisted materials. The free plan is the better fit for a smaller search that can stay within 100 jobs and two tailored resumes. Huntr’s stated security measures are designed to protect personal information on secured servers, while the company notes that internet transmission cannot be guaranteed secure.

Platforms

Huntr supports web, iOS, Android, and a browser extension. It also offers an API for organizational accounts. The native apps cover browsing jobs and search organization, while the extension enables the stated application autofill.

Who it's for

Huntr is a good fit for individual job seekers managing several applications who want role-specific resume work, contact records, and application details close at hand. It also fits placement organizations whose work involves supporting candidates across multiple searches. It is a weaker fit for a casual search that needs only a basic list, or for applicants who need higher free quotas.

Pros and cons

Pros: Job records hold notes, tasks, dates, and role details, which helps keep follow-up work tied to each application.
Pros: Resume matching, proofreading, and tailored materials bring several application-preparation tasks into the same workspace.
Pros: Native iOS and Android apps support search organization away from a desktop.
Cons: The free plan caps tracking at 100 jobs and provides only two tailored resumes and two application packets.
Cons: Monthly Pro costs $40.00 USD per month; the lower paid-from rate requires paying $160.00 USD every 6 months.
Cons: There is no Pro free trial, so the free plan is the only no-cost way to assess the service.

Alternatives

For interview preparation as well as applications, Aissence has a free plan with mock and live interview, phone interview, cover-letter, experience-letter, and prepared-application allowances, plus a free trial. HeroApply is worth considering for a daily application allowance: its free plan includes five applications per day and mobile and web access, while 24/7 Autopilot is excluded from that tier.

Jobloo may suit applicants seeking an autopilot approach; its free tier has daily application credits, and its Monthly plan is $20.00 USD per month with full autopilot and unlimited applications. For a toolkit that includes job tracking, autofill, and resume building at no cost, Careerflow offers those features in limited form on its Basic plan, with Premium at $8.99 USD per month.

HirePilot is a more contact-centered option: its free plan allows five contacts, while the paid plan includes unlimited contact notes and status updates. Hyring is an alternative for users looking at AI voice and job-posting tools; its free plan has one seat, one active job post, 50 credits per month, and English-only support. Simplify is another freemium option with extension, iOS, and web support. AI Job Agent offers a Pro plan with capped auto-apply, autofill, cover-letter, and ATS-refinement allowances, though its price is not published.

Verdict

Choose Huntr if you are managing an active job search and want detailed application tracking alongside resume matching, tailored materials, and contact records. Its strongest advantage is how much job-specific context it keeps together; its main drawback is that serious use pushes past modest free quotas into a $40.00 USD monthly plan unless you commit to quarterly or biannual billing. For a smaller search, start with Free; look elsewhere if you need a higher free allowance or a cheaper monthly option.
