Overview

HitPay Payment Links gives businesses hosted checkout links and QR codes for collecting payments without building a website checkout. It suits sellers who need flexible payment amounts and methods across currencies. Its no-monthly-fee structure is appealing, though transaction fees still apply.

Key features

Create a link or QR code to share with customers or embed online. A link can charge a fixed amount or let customers choose the amount and currency; it can accept one-time or recurring payments and can be reused by multiple customers. That flexibility suits both a set-price sale and an open-ended collection, but it does not replace a purpose-built checkout when the payment journey needs to live on a business website.

HitPay supports more than 100 currencies. Merchants can choose and reorder displayed payment methods according to order amount and currency, which helps tailor checkout options to different transactions. Checkout appearance can be customized with a business logo and colors. Transactions, payment notifications, real-time data, and reports are managed through the HitPay dashboard.

HitPay states that its payment links are PCI DSS compliant and identifies the company as PCI DSS certified. Its listed integrations include Shopify, WooCommerce, Xero, and Wix. Customers can contact HitPay’s team or use its help center for assistance.

Pricing

The Payment Links plan is free, with no setup or monthly fee. Merchants pay a 0.2% Payment Links fee plus the processing fee for the payment method used. This keeps the fixed cost at zero, but the combined transaction charges matter to sellers weighing payment volume or margins. The plan has no separate paid tier described.

For Singapore, non-card HitPay Balance payouts are listed as T+1 calendar day; card payouts start from T+1 business day. Those timelines differ by payment type and should factor into cash-flow planning.

Platforms

HitPay Payment Links is available on Android, iOS, and the web. The product also lists Shopify, WooCommerce, Xero, and Wix integrations.

Who it's for

Freelancers and small businesses can use reusable links to collect one-off or recurring payments without building checkout. Larger enterprises may value the currency range and configurable payment methods, though the product’s stated appeal is the payment link itself rather than a full website checkout.

Pros and cons

Pros: No setup or monthly fee, with reusable links and QR codes for flexible payment collection.
Pros: More than 100 currencies and configurable payment methods support a range of payment scenarios.
Pros: One-time and recurring payments, plus customer-selected amounts, cover more than fixed-price sales.
Cons: The 0.2% Payment Links fee is added to payment-method processing fees, so transactions are not cost-free.
Cons: Singapore payout timing varies by payment type, with card payouts beginning at T+1 business day rather than T+1 calendar day.

Mollie may suit sellers who prefer a pay-as-you-go plan with no contract or commitment and published rates for domestic consumer cards. Pay. Pay by Link is another freemium option with a no-monthly-charge Pioneer plan that charges per transaction.

PayPal Invoicing is a better fit when creating and sending invoices without setup or subscription fees is the priority. SumUp Payment Links offers payment links with no monthly costs and a 2.50% per-transaction fee.

Cashfree Payment Links charges nothing for link creation and reminders, while standard Payment Gateway charges apply. Mercado Pago Payment Link offers a no-monthly-fee plan with processing fees applied when a sale is made.

Verdict

HitPay Payment Links is a strong fit for freelancers and businesses that want reusable hosted links or QR codes, flexible amounts, and broad currency support without a monthly bill. Its main trade-off is per-transaction cost: the 0.2% link fee stacks with payment processing, so sellers focused on keeping transaction charges low should compare alternatives before choosing it.
