Overview

Qashier is a POS, payments and loyalty platform with salon booking tools for Malaysian businesses. It suits salons and spas that want appointments, sales and customer rewards connected rather than handled as separate jobs. Its free tier is tightly capped, while paid plans add substantial capacity and stronger support.

Key features

Bookings and salon operations

Qashier Bookings accepts appointments online around the clock, confirms them instantly and supports package redemption. A team calendar synced with the POS brings bookings into the same operating picture as transactions. Staff performance and commissions tracking, plus sales and customer-feedback reports, make the system more useful to owners managing both service delivery and revenue.

Payments and loyalty

The Malaysia terminal accepts major credit and debit cards, DuitNow QR, Touch ’n Go, GrabPay, Boost, mobile payments and e-wallets. Treats links points to payments and also supports vouchers, promotions and personalised customer messages. That combination gives salons several tools to encourage repeat visits, although the free plan excludes QashierPay card payments and add-on tools.

Integrations, security and support

Growth includes Xero, Shopify and WooCommerce integrations. Qashier also describes API connections for payments, POS data and Treats loyalty, with transaction data consolidated into one dashboard. Qashier says it complies with PCI DSS 3.2 as a Level 1 Service Provider, separates sensitive card data from the rest of its infrastructure, and adheres to Malaysia’s PDPA and other privacy laws in its markets.

Support varies sharply by plan: Lite is email-only, while Essential and Growth include live chat, phone and WhatsApp. That distinction matters for operators who need help during business hours or while transactions are flowing.

Pricing

Lite costs 0.00 MYR per free. It allows up to 25 products, reports up to one year and email support; monthly sales and staff limits apply. It also excludes QashierPay card payments, staff management and add-on tools. This is a constrained way to start, not a full-featured option for a busy salon.

Essential costs 5.00 USD per month (billed RM5/day; prices exclude SST). It supports up to 9 stores, up to 1,000 products, unlimited staff and CRM for up to 500 customers. It is the practical step up for operators who need staff capacity and more catalogue room but can stay within the customer cap.

Growth costs 8.00 USD per month (billed RM8/day; prices exclude SST). It covers 10+ stores, unlimited products and unlimited CRM, adds staff commissions, and includes Essential features. Multi-location businesses or salons that need commission tracking and no CRM ceiling have the clearest reason to choose it. Prices exclude SST, so the displayed amounts are not the full tax-inclusive cost.

Platforms

Qashier supports Android, iOS, web and API access. QashierHQ works in a web browser and on Android devices, while the HQ mobile app is available for iPhone and Android.

Who it's for

Qashier is strongest for Malaysian salons, spas and wellness businesses that want booking, POS, payment acceptance and loyalty in one system. Small businesses can use Lite to explore the setup, but its catalogue cap, monthly limits and missing card payments make it a poor fit once operations depend on the full workflow. Businesses outside Malaysia should weigh the Malaysia-specific terminal payment methods against their own needs.

Pros and cons

Connected salon workflow: Bookings, package redemption, POS-synced calendar, staff tracking and sales reporting cover more than appointment scheduling alone.
Broad local payment acceptance: The terminal supports cards, DuitNow QR and several Malaysian e-wallets.
Useful loyalty options: Payment-linked points sit alongside vouchers, promotions and personalised messages.
Lite has consequential gaps: Its 25-product ceiling and monthly limits come with no QashierPay card payments, staff management or add-on tools.
Growth is the meaningful scale tier: Unlimited products and CRM plus commissions and named integrations are reserved for the highest plan.
Support depends on spend: Lite users get email only; paid-plan users also get live chat, phone and WhatsApp.

Alternatives

For a salon-focused loyalty comparison, see Salon Loyalty Software; for broader transaction-system choices, see Point-of-Sale Software.

Cuppacard is a loyalty-focused alternative with a free plan and a £10.00-per-month plan that includes up to 50 monthly active users, a custom loyalty scheme, customer insights and custom offers; choose it when those loyalty tools matter more than Qashier’s connected POS and bookings. SalonHub360 offers online booking, service menus and client management in its $19.99-per-month Starter plan for one staff member, making it a fit for a smaller booking-led operation. Salonist has a free Marketplace Listing plan capped at 50 appointments a month, with online booking, calendar and scheduling, and staff shift management; it suits a salon testing scheduling before committing to a paid tier.

Fresha is another freemium option for readers comparing salon platforms. Lumidara offers a web-based Pro plan at $10.00 per month with unlimited clients, online self-booking, deposits and 500 custom campaign sends monthly, so it is worth considering when booking and campaigns are the priority. Puraskar has a free plan for one branch, three staff accounts and 500 customers, which may suit a small operation that wants to start without a subscription. Saloniks is a paid salon-management alternative with a free plan and trial. meed offers a free web plan for up to 50 members and a $59.00-per-month Pro plan, making it relevant to membership-based businesses comparing member caps and paid scale.

Verdict

Choose Qashier if you run a Malaysian salon or spa and want bookings, local payments, POS, staff performance and loyalty joined up, with Growth available for multi-store scale and commissions. Look elsewhere if you need an uncapped free starting point, or if your priority is a narrower booking or loyalty tool rather than an integrated salon operation.
