Overview

Roadmapr combines a public roadmap with a feedback portal, feature voting, and changelogs. Teams can mark work Planned, In Progress, or Shipped, and submissions enter a moderation queue before they become voteable. That gives teams control over what reaches the public board, though it also requires someone to review incoming ideas.

Roadmaps use a kanban view with basic prioritization tools. This is a practical fit for teams that want to communicate status and gauge demand, but it is not a deep prioritization system. The embeddable widget can appear inline, as a floating button, or in a modal, and can be added with a script tag or React component. Those choices make it easier to surface the roadmap on an existing website.

Key features

When a feature ships, voters can receive email notifications; WhatsApp updates are reserved for Pro and Business. That paid-channel upgrade may matter to teams whose customers rely on WhatsApp, while Free and Starter users must use email.

Slack and Discord integrations are available. Microsoft Teams, Linear, and GitHub are marked as coming soon, while Jira, Notion, Trello, GitLab, Intercom, Zendesk, and Mixpanel are planned. Teams already centered on those latter tools should not choose Roadmapr on the expectation of a current connection. REST API access is limited to Business; its webhooks cover feature status changes, new submissions, vote milestones, and user engagement.

Roadmapr describes security measures that include TLS/HTTPS in transit, AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest, bcrypt password hashing, regular audits, and automatic backups. Data is primarily stored in Frankfurt, EU; enterprise customers may request data-residency agreements. The company says it aims to comply with GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023. Paid plans target 99.9% monthly uptime; Free has no uptime guarantee.

Pricing

Roadmapr is freemium, with a free plan, paid plans from ₹999 per month, and a 14-day trial. The prices and feature limits make the progression clear, although the free tier is capped at one project and 50 features.

Plan	Price	What it includes
Free	0.00 INR per free	1 project, 50 features, public roadmap, basic analytics, and community support.
Starter	999.00 INR per month	3 projects, 500 features, custom branding, changelog, widget embed, and email support.
Pro	2499.00 INR per month	10 projects, unlimited features, custom domain, WhatsApp notifications, advanced analytics, and priority support.
Business	4999.00 INR per month	Unlimited projects, API access, white-label, 5 team seats, SSO ready, and dedicated support.

Free is a low-commitment way to publish one roadmap, but its feature cap and community support make it a poor fit for a growing feedback program. Starter lifts the caps to three projects and 500 features and adds branding, changelog, and widget embedding. Pro is the more suitable step for teams managing several products or needing unlimited features, a custom domain, analytics, or WhatsApp. Business is the only plan with API access and includes five seats; teams needing more extensive API use should weigh that higher entry price. Starter, Pro, and Business list email, priority, and dedicated support respectively.

Who it's for

Roadmapr suits SaaS teams that want a public feedback loop without assembling separate tools for roadmaps, votes, and changelogs. Its maker positions it for Indian SaaS teams and founders in emerging markets. The free tier can suit a small project; teams needing multiple projects, WhatsApp updates, or API access must move to paid plans. It is less compelling for teams that depend on integrations beyond Slack and Discord or need more than basic prioritization.

Pros and cons

Pros: A moderated submission queue lets teams approve ideas before they become voteable.
Pros: Three widget modes and script-tag or React installation offer useful flexibility for embedding a roadmap.
Pros: Paid tiers add practical capacity in stages, from more projects and features to custom domains, WhatsApp, and API access.
Cons: Free is limited to one project and 50 features, and has no uptime guarantee.
Cons: REST API access requires Business, while several named integrations remain coming soon or planned.
Cons: Prioritization is basic, so teams wanting a more developed way to rank work may outgrow it.

Verdict

Choose Roadmapr if your team wants a focused public roadmap and moderated feedback loop, particularly if embedding the board and notifying voters through WhatsApp are priorities. Its clearest drawback is the gap between a tightly capped free tier and Business-only API access, alongside a still-limited integration set. Teams needing broader integrations, deeper prioritization, or API access without moving to Business should look elsewhere.
