Overview

Floik is a workflow-capture and content-creation tool for internal processes and customer-facing instruction. Its Chrome extension records browser steps, screenshots, and actions; teams can also start with an uploaded video. A recording can become a step-by-step guide, interactive video, or explainer video, so the same source can serve readers who prefer written instructions and viewers who need a demonstration.

Floik supports link sharing and embeds, with integrations including Notion, Confluence, Zendesk, Salesforce, Slack, HubSpot, Intercom, Jira, Asana, Microsoft Teams, Loom, GitBook, GitHub, SharePoint, and Outlook. The integration range suits teams distributing instructions across established work systems. Script embeds can restrict access to allowed domains, adding a measure of control over where embedded content appears.

Key features

Capture and repurpose: Browser recording collects steps, screenshots, and actions, while uploaded videos offer another input. Creating three kinds of content from one recording can reduce the need to prepare separate materials for every audience.
AI writing, voiceover, and translation: Floik can draft guide copy, add AI voiceover, and translate content. Pro lists translation for up to two languages; Pro+ lists 30+ languages, making the higher tier the stronger fit for teams serving a broader language range.
Sharing and exports: Links and embeds support distribution, and paid plans list MP4, PDF, and HTML exports. Downloads are available only with annual billing, a meaningful restriction for teams that need files but prefer monthly payments.
Controls and support: Enterprise lists SAML single sign-on, roles and permissions, GDPR and ISO compliance, dedicated data center options, custom onboarding, and custom limits. Higher plans also list priority support and a customer success manager. Floik’s privacy policy says information may be stored with third-party cloud infrastructure providers and describes physical, managerial, technical, and operational safeguards.

Pricing

Floik is freemium, with a 14-day trial and paid plans from $39/user/mo billed annually. The free Starter plan allows five published Flos and ten created Flos, with a five-minute video limit and up to 25 guide steps per Flo. Those caps make it suitable for a small evaluation or a modest library, but restrictive for teams publishing regularly.

Plan	Price and billing	What it includes
Starter	Custom pricing	Five published Flos, ten created Flos, five-minute videos, and 25 guide steps per Flo.
Pro	39.00 USD per month, billed annually; 49.00 USD per month, billed monthly	One user, unlimited Flos, ten-minute videos, and 200 guide steps per Flo. Translation is listed for up to two languages.
Pro+	119.00 USD per month, billed annually; 159.00 USD per month, billed monthly	Five users, unlimited Flos, ten-minute videos, 200 guide steps per Flo, and advanced insights up to 30 days. Translation is listed for 30+ languages; script embeds have a two-domain limit.
Enterprise	Custom pricing	Custom users, onboarding, and limits, with the listed enterprise security controls and a five-domain limit for script embeds.

Pro is the lower-cost route to unlimited content for one person, but it does not include Pro+’s five seats or broader translation allowance. Pro+ is better suited to a small team that needs those capabilities, though its annual price is substantially higher. Monthly billing costs more on both tiers, and exports require annual billing, so monthly customers give up downloads. Enterprise is the fit for organizations seeking custom limits and security controls rather than a fixed seat package.

Platforms

Floik is listed for extension, macOS, web, and Windows. The Chrome extension is the documented capture method; link sharing and embeds support distribution beyond the recording workflow.

Who it's for

Floik fits operations and IT teams documenting processes and software rollouts, as well as training, onboarding, customer support, customer education, and change-management teams. It is particularly useful when a team can turn one capture into both written and video instruction. A solo user who needs only occasional exports may find the Starter caps or annual-billing requirement a poor fit; larger teams should weigh Pro+’s five seats against Enterprise’s custom package.

Pros and cons

Pros

Several outputs from one recording: Guides, interactive videos, and explainers give teams options for presenting the same workflow.
Broad distribution options: Links, embeds, and numerous named integrations suit teams that share instructions across different work systems.
Defined upgrade path: Pro removes the free content caps, while Pro+ adds seats, longer-range insights, and a wider translation allowance.

Cons

Starter is limited: Five published Flos, ten created Flos, five-minute videos, and 25 steps per guide constrain ongoing use.
Downloads depend on annual billing: Teams choosing monthly Pro or Pro+ cannot use the listed exports.
Pro is single-seat: Teams needing multiple users must pay for Pro+ or seek Enterprise pricing.

Alternatives

Interactive Product Demo Software and AI Screen Recorders are useful category lists for comparing Floik with other tools of those types.

Flonnect Presentation Recorder is worth considering for a free entry point with 20 lifetime videos, transcription and editing, 10 bug reports per month, five HTML/demo captures per month, and 1 GB of storage.
Guideflow suits readers seeking a yearly Solo plan at 35.00 USD per month with unlimited guideflows, advanced analytics, AI demo content, video and GIF export, and AI translation.
Supademo is an alternative with a free tier that includes one creator/admin, five guided interactive demos, and 50 4K video recordings.
Arcade offers a free plan with one user, one published demo, one published video, 200 AI credits per month, and unlimited views.
Storylane has a free tier with one seat, one published demo, unlimited demo views, an AI content assistant, and voiceovers.
Folio offers a free plan for one user with up to two basic demos and two basic templates, unlimited demo steps and views, and watermarking.
LiveDemo is an alternative with a free-forever Startup plan for one creator and three published demos.
MagicDemo is another freemium option, with a free tier for one user and up to five demos.

Verdict

Choose Floik if your team needs to turn captured or uploaded software demonstrations into reusable written and video instruction, especially when AI voiceover or translation will help reach its audience. Its main advantage is the range of formats and distribution routes from one workflow. Look elsewhere if your team needs generous free publishing, monthly-billed downloads, or more than one seat without moving to Pro+.
