Overview

FlexClip is an online video editor that combines conventional editing controls with AI-assisted creation tools. It suits creators who want both approaches in one service; the free plan is useful for short, low-resolution projects, but regular commercial use calls for a paid plan.

The editor covers routine clip adjustments as well as text, transitions, music and voiceovers, while AI tools can help create or reshape content from text, presentations or longer videos. Cloud imports and direct sharing add convenience, though the browser editor is currently usable on Google Chrome and there is no desktop app.

Key features

Manual editing includes trimming, splitting, cropping, merging, rotating, resizing and changing playback speed. Text, animations, transitions, overlays, stickers, music, sound effects and voiceovers give creators useful finishing controls without requiring an AI-generated starting point. Exports support 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:5 and 21:9 aspect ratios, with resolutions up to 4K on the service.

AI tools include avatars, long-video-to-shorts, text-to-speech, text-based editing, PPT-to-video, automatic subtitles, text-to-video, voice cloning and AI image tools. That range makes FlexClip adaptable to different starting materials, although users who only need a simple manual editor may not benefit from the breadth.

Media can be imported from a computer, phone, Google Drive, Google Photos, OneDrive or Dropbox. Finished videos can be shared to YouTube, Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive; Long-to-Shorts can also publish generated clips to YouTube and LinkedIn. These integrations reduce handoffs, particularly for creators already using those services.

Created videos and uploaded assets are private by default, and FlexClip says it accesses content only with explicit permission to resolve an issue. It says payment details are encrypted and sent directly to a third-party processor rather than stored on its servers, and that it adheres to GDPR, including rights for EEA users. Customer support replies within 2–4 business days.

Pricing

The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and permits 12 online projects, videos up to 10 minutes, one stock video and one stock audio file per project, and 720p exports. AI tools have free trials, but free users cannot use stock resources or generated content commercially. The resolution, project and length caps make this a constrained way to evaluate the workflow, not a practical commercial tier.

Plus costs 19.99 USD per month, billed monthly. It raises the stock allowance to five videos and five audio files per project and includes 30GB cloud space, 100GB video hosting space and 100 custom templates. It is the entry paid choice for creators who need commercial rights for stock and AI-generated content, as well as more project resources.

Business costs 29.99 USD per month, billed monthly. It includes 100GB cloud space, 1TB video hosting space, 200 custom templates and unlimited stock video and audio per project. Frequent stock users or creators with heavier hosting needs have a clearer reason to step up than occasional editors.

Team costs 69.99 USD per month, billed monthly, and starts with three seats; additional seats are available. It adds team management and collaboration, making it the relevant tier for groups rather than solo creators. Plus, Business and Team subscribers may use stock resources and AI-generated content commercially; the free plan does not. There is no free trial.

Platforms

FlexClip has a web app and mobile apps for Android and iOS, and its platform listing includes Windows. It has no desktop app; the FAQ describes a Windows desktop version as compatible with Windows 10, while the online version is currently usable on Google Chrome. The browser limitation matters to anyone whose workflow depends on another browser. The maker is headquartered in Hong Kong.

Who it's for

Its aspect ratios, cloud imports and publishing integrations support varied destinations. Creators needing commercial rights should budget for a paid plan; users who need a desktop-first workflow, or who only want straightforward manual editing, may prefer a narrower tool.

Pros and cons

Pros: A wide set of editing controls and AI workflows in one service suits projects that start from footage, text or presentations.
Pros: Exports up to 4K and five common aspect ratios support different publishing formats, though the free tier is limited to 720p.
Pros: Imports from major cloud services and direct sharing to YouTube and storage services reduce extra transfer steps.
Cons: Free projects are capped at 12, 10 minutes per video and 720p, and free users cannot use stock or generated content commercially.
Cons: The online editor's current Chrome support and lack of a desktop app may not suit browser-independent or desktop-first workflows.

Verdict

Choose FlexClip if you want one browser-based service for direct editing, AI-assisted creation, cloud imports and publishing, and can match its paid tiers to your storage, stock or team needs. Its breadth is the main reason to choose it; look elsewhere if you require a desktop-first editor or need a commercially usable free plan.
