Overview

Slides combines presentation design with real-time collaboration, audience participation and links to other Figma work. Teams can turn a FigJam board into a deck outline and draw on Figma Design libraries for shared components, variables and styles. You can also import and export PowerPoint files, embed YouTube videos, and start from Figma or community presentation templates.

The breadth is useful when a presentation is part of a design workflow rather than a standalone document. But offline support has a boundary: decks can be pre-loaded for presenting without a connection, while the product itself does not offer offline access.

Key features

Team creation and presenting

Chat, audio, comments, presenter notes and co-presenting control give teams several ways to coordinate around a deck. Presenter mode and real-time collaboration make it well suited to shared preparation and delivery. Pre-loading slides helps when presenting offline, though it does not make editing offline possible.

AI and audience participation

AI can adjust text tone or length and suggest relevant presenter notes. Audience tools include polls, voting and alignment scales, while interactive prototypes can make a presentation more participatory than a sequence of static slides. These features are most useful for teams presenting work that invites feedback; they may be unnecessary for straightforward decks.

Design connections

FigJam-to-outline conversion and shared Figma Design libraries can reduce the gap between design work and a presentation about it. Illustration tools, conditional logic, user testing and prototype sharing extend the product’s reach beyond conventional slides. PowerPoint import and export help when collaborators still use that format.

Pricing

Figma Slides is included with all seats on every plan. The free Starter tier offers limited access to Figma products, unlimited drafts, 150 AI credits per day and up to 500 AI credits per month. It is a useful starting point for occasional use, but the monthly AI ceiling matters for frequent AI-assisted editing.

Professional plans are billed monthly: Full seat costs 16.00 USD per month and includes 3,000 AI credits per month; Dev seat costs 12.00 USD per month with 500 credits; Collab seat costs 3.00 USD per month with 500 credits. The lower-cost Collab option fits people who need collaboration access rather than the larger AI allowance attached to a Full seat.

Organization and Enterprise plans are billed annually. Organization Full, Dev and Collab seats cost 55.00 USD, 25.00 USD and 5.00 USD per month respectively; their monthly AI allowances are 3,500, 500 and 500 credits. Enterprise Full, Dev and Collab seats cost 90.00 USD, 35.00 USD and 5.00 USD per month, with 4,250, 500 and 500 credits. The higher tiers increase the Full seat allowance, while Dev and Collab remain at 500 credits. Choose a seat according to the work and AI use required, not just the plan label.

Platforms

Figma Slides supports web, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android. That range helps teams work across desktop and mobile platforms, but does not change the lack of offline access to the product.

Who it's for

It is a strong fit for design teams that already use Figma and want shared libraries, prototypes and FigJam ideas to carry into presentations. It also suits groups that need co-presenting controls or built-in audience responses. It is less compelling for people who need a fully offline presentation workflow or only create simple, solo decks.

Pros and cons

Pro: FigJam conversion and Figma Design libraries connect presentations to existing team design work.
Pro: Chat, audio, comments and co-presenting control support collaboration through preparation and delivery.
Pro: PowerPoint import/export and audience interaction make decks easier to share and discuss.
Con: The product itself has no offline access, even though pre-loaded decks can be presented offline.
Con: Starter’s AI allowance is capped at 500 credits per month, which may constrain regular AI-assisted work.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison, browse presentation software. If your priority is interface design or prototyping rather than collaborative presentations, compare UI design tools, prototyping software, and web design software; for visual-design-focused options, see graphic design software.

Fluid UI is another freemium option with a free plan and a free trial. Justinmind offers a free plan with one project and unlimited screens and viewers, making it worth considering when those project limits fit. Mockplus has a free Basic plan for 10 users and 10 active projects. ProtoPie may suit a small prototype workflow: its free plan allows two saved cloud prototypes, eight scenes per prototype and 50MB of cloud storage. UXPin offers a limited free plan after a 14-day trial, with two prototypes and 50 AI credits. Lunacy has a free plan capped at 10 cloud documents and 10 document editors/exporters, with 30 days of version history. Marvel has a free plan for one user and one project. Proto.io has a free plan for one user and one active project, limited to five prototype screens and 10 MB of storage.

Verdict

Choose Figma Slides if your team wants presentations to connect directly with Figma design work and needs collaboration or audience engagement in the same workflow. Its main trade-off is clear: decks can be prepared for offline presenting, but the product cannot be used offline. For teams that need offline creation or only basic solo slides, a more focused presentation tool is likely a better fit.
