Overview

Faith Teams is church-management software for small and medium-sized congregations that want records, ministry coordination and giving in one system. Its broad mix of church tools is the draw; the main trade-off is a recurring price that rises with active people.

Key features

The people and families database holds contact details, membership status, notes, contributions, communications, attendance and involvement. That shared record can help staff connect routine administration with participation and giving. The account itself has no limit on people or users, but paid pricing is tiered by active people, and the free account caps active people at 100.

Attendance tracking, volunteer scheduling and service planning address recurring ministry coordination. Children’s check-in prints name and pickup tags, a practical aid for managing handoffs during services. Group management and event registration add tools for organizing people beyond the database.

Giving can run through the mobile app, text-to-give, an embedded website form, a kiosk or custom signup forms. That range serves churches offering members multiple ways to contribute. Email and 500 text messages per month are included with a subscription; extra batches of 500 cost $10. Unlimited texting is an option to apply for after using the system, so churches with heavier messaging needs should account for that separate constraint.

The 10-day trial requires no credit card and is fully functional apart from messaging. Users can preview messaging, but do not receive a Faith Teams phone number until they subscribe. Faith Teams also offers Checkr integration for background checks, says its team can help import people and data from another system for free, and provides phone and email support, support documents and tutorial videos. Its FAQ describes account information as encrypted, protected and backed up; its terms say it does not retain sensitive representative or banking information used by its payment processor to verify online-giving accounts.

Pricing

The free account costs 0.00 USD per free and covers up to 100 active people. It requires online giving to be activated within 30 days of sign-up, making it a constrained starting point rather than a no-conditions free tier.

Monthly pricing is $75 per month for up to 499 active people, $95 per month for 500 to 1,499, $125 per month for 1,500 to 4,999, and $150 per month for 5,000 or more. Annually, the corresponding prices are $750 per year, $950 per year, $1,250 per year and $1,500 per year. These tiers make the active-person count the key budget question as a congregation grows.

The 3-year plan is shown as 7503.00 USD per year, billed 3 years, with tier prices also shown as $750, $950, $1,250 and $1,500 per year across the same active-person brackets, plus a free iPad offer. Confirm the applicable tier and billing terms before choosing it. Paid plans include US-based phone and email support. Messaging beyond the monthly 500-text allowance costs $10 per additional batch of 500.

Platforms

Faith Teams is web-based and supports Android and iOS. The mobile apps also serve as one of the giving channels.

Who it's for

Faith Teams is a strong fit for small and medium-sized churches seeking one system for member records, attendance, children’s check-in, volunteer and service coordination, communications and giving. Free data migration help may ease a move from another system. Churches with more than 100 active people will need a paid tier, and congregations that depend on messaging during evaluation should note that trial messaging is limited.

Pros and cons

Pro: Member records combine contact, participation and contribution information, supporting a more connected view of church administration.
Pro: Check-in tags, scheduling, service planning, event registration and group management cover work beyond a basic directory.
Pro: Multiple giving channels and free migration help can make it easier to bring existing records and giving workflows together.
Con: The free account is capped at 100 active people and requires online giving activation within 30 days.
Con: Messaging is limited to 500 texts monthly on subscription, with further batches costing $10; trial users cannot receive a Faith Teams phone number.
Con: Paid monthly prices rise from $75 to $150 per month according to active-person tier, which can make growth a budget consideration.

Verdict

Faith Teams is a sensible choice for a small or medium-sized church that wants member administration, ministry logistics and several giving methods under one roof. Its breadth and migration support are compelling; look elsewhere if the 100-person free cap, active-person pricing tiers or metered texting do not fit your congregation’s needs.
