Overview

Fairmarkit covers the path from an employee’s request through supplier award, combining intake, sourcing automation, discovery, and bid evaluation. That connected workflow can help procurement teams manage varied sourcing needs without treating each event as a separate process. It is geared toward enterprise procurement rather than buyers seeking a low-cost, self-serve option.

The platform supports sourcing events, reverse auctions, bid comparisons, negotiation workflows, and multiple event types. Fairmarkit was founded in 2017 and is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts.

Key features

Intake and event automation

The Intake Agent gathers requester needs, asks follow-up questions, and routes requests to the appropriate team. This gives procurement a structured starting point before sourcing begins. For suitable events, Fairmarkit can automate supplier matching, event sending, bundling, and rule-based awards. That qualification matters: teams should not assume every sourcing event can be automated in the same way.

Supplier discovery and evaluation

Fairmarkit says its Supplier Discovery Agent scans more than 500,000 suppliers and matches them by category fit, manufacturer compatibility, and likelihood of response. This may broaden supplier searches while keeping recommendations tied to a request’s requirements. The Evaluation Agent supports bid comparisons, award scenario modeling, multi-stakeholder scoring, and AI-assisted analysis. Crucially, the team retains scoring decisions, making the tool an aid to judgment rather than a replacement for it.

Integrations and security

Integrations include SAP Ariba, Coupa, SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, Oracle, ServiceNow, Workday, Zip, Amazon Business, SpendHQ, Candex, and Supplier.io. Standardized API connectors and file-based connections support bidirectional data flows, which can make Fairmarkit relevant to teams working across existing procurement systems. Fairmarkit states that it is SOC 2 compliant and ISO 27001 certified. Its security overview describes multi-tenant database isolation, least-privilege access, multifactor authentication, and encryption of confidential data. Customers own their data; Fairmarkit says it does not sell it and removes deleted customer data from its systems within 90 days. Support is available through in-platform case management, email, or telephone.

Pricing

Fairmarkit uses paid, custom pricing. The Fairmarkit plan is an enterprise procurement sourcing platform, with a demo request as the route to pricing details. The custom-pricing approach may suit organizations evaluating a broad enterprise workflow, but gives smaller teams no published entry price for budgeting or direct comparison. Customers should also account for the access condition: interested users must contact their Customer Success Manager to use autonomous sourcing.

Platforms

Fairmarkit is available on web and through an API. That combination suits organizations integrating sourcing into broader procurement systems, though it is not a mobile-app offering according to its stated platforms.

Who it's for

Fairmarkit is best suited to enterprise procurement teams sourcing across categories of spend, particularly those seeking a linked process from requester intake through bid evaluation. Teams that want autonomous sourcing immediately, or need clear published pricing before engaging, may prefer another option.

Pros and cons

Pros: Intake, supplier discovery, event automation, and evaluation span the sourcing workflow, reducing the need to piece together separate capabilities.
Pros: Evaluation tools support comparisons and scenario modeling while leaving scoring decisions with the team.
Pros: API and file-based integrations, including bidirectional data flows, support connections with a broad set of procurement and business systems.
Cons: Pricing is custom, so buyers cannot assess an entry cost from a published plan price.
Cons: Autonomous sourcing requires contacting a Customer Success Manager, adding a step for teams seeking to use that capability.

Alternatives

For another paid sourcing platform, consider Arkestro. Keelvar is a paid, enterprise-scale sourcing platform with web and API access; pricing is not published on the pages reviewed. If a free tier matters, Market Dojo offers freemium access and lists a Simple Sourcing annual licence at 500.00 GBP per year, billed £500.00 /month (billed annually). Oracle Procurement Contracts is a paid option at 405.00 USD per month, billed per user/per month, with Supplier Management and Transactional Business Intelligence for Procurement; it has no free plan or free trial.

ProcureSprint PR to PO is another paid, web-based option. SAFAL Strategic Sourcing is a paid, web-based alternative. SynerTrade 5 uses paid, usage-based pricing with unlimited users. For accounts-payable automation rather than a sourcing platform, Esker Accounts Payable Automation is paid, has no free plan or trial, and provides web, API, Android, and iOS access.

Verdict

Choose Fairmarkit if your enterprise procurement team needs one connected environment for intake, supplier matching, sourcing events, and bid evaluation, with people retaining control of scoring. Its strongest case is workflow breadth paired with support for existing systems. Look elsewhere if you need transparent published pricing or immediate access to autonomous sourcing without involving a Customer Success Manager.
