Overview

Employee records, onboarding, time off, performance management, and time tracking bring a broad set of routine HR tasks into one platform. factoHR also connects with payroll, finance, hiring, learning, background-check, and single sign-on systems, a useful fit for businesses coordinating across those functions. Multiple entities and role-specific permissions may help organizations with distinct business units or access needs.

The maker says the platform scales from 50 to more than 5,000 employees and is trusted by more than 4,000 businesses or customers. It states ISO 27001, ISO 9001, and SOC 2 Type II credentials; browser-server communications use high-grade 256-key SSL encryption, alongside role-based access and secure employee records. Customers can access and export their information regardless of plan.

Key features

Attendance and HR administration

Face recognition, selfie punch, geofencing, and location-tagged punches give teams several attendance options. That variety can suit workforces that need different ways to record attendance, though the paid plans' extra-employee rates matter as teams grow. The wider HR coverage is a strength for buyers seeking one system for administration and attendance rather than a narrowly focused attendance tool.

Mobile access and integrations

The same HR experience is available on web and through a mobile app, giving employees and HR staff a mobile route to the platform. Connections to HR, payroll, finance, hiring, learning, background-check, and SSO systems broaden its role in an organization's software stack. Support hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

Pricing

factoHR uses a freemium model. The Free plan costs ₹0.00 per free, covers up to 20 employees, and requires no credit card. It is the clearest starting point for a small team; the cap makes it unsuitable once headcount exceeds 20.

Core costs ₹125.00 per month, billed yearly, for up to 50 employees, with additional employees at ₹89/month each. Premium is ₹175.00 per month, billed yearly, with the same 50-employee base and ₹109/month per additional employee. Ultimate costs ₹225.00 per month, billed yearly, also covers up to 50 employees, and charges ₹129/month per additional employee. These tiers preserve a common base limit but carry progressively higher per-employee rates; buyers should compare the feature needs of their team against the cost of exceeding 50 employees.

Fia by factoHR, Selfie Punch, and Timesheet each cost USD 0.50 per month; Face Recognition costs USD 1.00 per month. Recruitment costs USD 75.00 per month per recruiter. For Blue Collar and For Start-UP have custom pricing. The plans are billed quarterly or yearly, and there is no cancellation fee or lock-in period. However, remaining credit on an annual plan is not refunded after discontinuation, so the annual billing choice carries a real cost if plans change mid-term.

Platforms

factoHR supports web and mobile app access. Customers can access and export their information on any plan, which is useful when reviewing whether the product remains a fit over time.

Who it's for

factoHR is a strong candidate for growing organizations that want employee records, attendance, time off, onboarding, performance, and time tracking in one HR platform, especially where links to payroll and other business systems matter. The free tier suits teams of up to 20 employees evaluating a starting point without a card. Organizations above that size should account for the 50-employee base on paid tiers and the additional-employee charges. It is less compelling for buyers who need predictable annual costs but may stop using the product before the term ends.

Pros and cons

Pros: Broad HR coverage spans records, onboarding, time off, performance, and time tracking, reducing the need to assemble those functions separately.
Pros: Multiple attendance methods and mobile access support different ways of working across a workforce.
Pros: A no-card free plan for up to 20 employees provides a low-commitment entry point, and data export is available regardless of plan.
Cons: Paid base tiers cover up to 50 employees; additional employees incur different monthly rates by plan, which can raise costs as headcount grows.
Cons: Unused annual-plan credit is not refunded after discontinuation, despite the absence of a lock-in period or cancellation fee.

Verdict

Choose factoHR if your organization wants broad employee administration and attendance in one system, mobile access, and connections across payroll and related business functions. Its free tier lowers the barrier for teams of up to 20, but the paid employee caps and per-person charges deserve close review. Look elsewhere if annual-plan refunds are essential or if a focused HR case-management or attendance product better matches your needs.
