Overview

EPG LFS is warehouse management software for organizations coordinating inventory, orders, and automation across complex operations. It suits multi-site operators and logistics teams that need configurable workflows; its strongest case is breadth across warehouse processes, while custom pricing makes it a substantial commitment to scope with the vendor.

Known as EPG ONE WMS, LFS is built to support throughput and operational visibility from receiving to shipping. Its multi-tenant design accommodates multiple warehouses, clients, and automation levels, giving it a broader operating remit than a single-site inventory tool. EPG is headquartered in Boppard-Buchholz, Germany.

The standard package is a pre-configured starting point, with additional modules pre-installed for activation when needed. EPG can arrange a test environment so prospective customers can evaluate the system before it enters service.

Key features

Warehouse execution and visibility

LFS automates workflows from goods receipt through shipping. Real-time inventory visibility, dashboards, and analytics help warehouse teams make decisions using current operational information. Barcode and RFID scanning support accuracy in receiving, picking, and shipping; cycle counting, batch picking, and shipping labels are also supported. This combination is useful for operators looking to connect execution with stock visibility, though the breadth of functions also means the right configuration will depend on the operation.

Integration and automation

The system connects with ERP and supply-chain applications, transport systems, conveyor systems, and material-flow controllers. EPG says it integrates with common ERP systems and has been SAP-certified since 1997. That integration range is a strength for warehouses linking software workflows with physical automation, but buyers should scope the systems and processes involved with EPG.

Industry workflows and intelligence

Retail and e-commerce capabilities include multi-order picking, smart order consolidation, and returns management. For 3PLs, LFS supports logistics-service billing, value-added services, and centralized access to connected sites. AI-powered insights are intended to identify patterns, exceptions, and optimization opportunities in warehouse data; this is most relevant to teams seeking operational analysis alongside execution.

EPG says it holds a SOC 2 Type II certificate based on an external audit of its internal control system. It describes support as available worldwide around the clock, seven days a week—useful for operations that cannot limit support needs to business hours.

Pricing

EPG ONE WMS (LFS): custom pricing. EPG says price depends on project requirements, processes, and functions, so the cost needs to be scoped with the vendor. The product is paid software, and EPG invites prospective customers to request a demo rather than presenting a fixed price. The standard package offers a pre-configured starting point, with additional modules pre-installed for activation as needed; there are no published seat, usage, or term limits to compare. EPG can arrange a test environment for evaluation before deployment.

This pricing approach is better suited to organizations ready to define a warehouse project than to smaller buyers seeking a transparent, self-serve subscription. The absence of a fixed price makes early budget comparison difficult, so prospective customers should discuss scope and requirements directly with EPG.

Platforms

LFS supports Android, iOS, Linux, Windows, web, and self-hosted environments. EPG offers on-premise and cloud-based SaaS deployment, giving organizations a choice between running the system on their own infrastructure and using a cloud service.

Who it's for

EPG names automotive, chemicals and healthcare, electronics, retail and e-commerce, manufacturing, food and beverage, 3PL, and textile among its target industries. It is a strong fit for organizations with multiple warehouses or clients, varied process requirements, and a need to connect warehouse execution with ERP or material-handling automation. Retailers and e-commerce operators can draw on order consolidation and returns functions, while 3PLs get billing and connected-site capabilities.

It is less compelling for buyers who need a published price to shortlist products quickly, or whose requirements do not justify a configurable warehouse project. The need to scope functions and project requirements with the vendor makes LFS a poor fit for a simple, low-cost, self-serve purchase.

Pros and cons

Pros: Workflows span receiving through shipping, with real-time inventory visibility and analytics to support day-to-day decisions.
Pros: Multi-tenant operations, multiple deployment choices, and connections to ERP and warehouse automation suit complex, varied environments.
Pros: Retail, e-commerce, and 3PL capabilities address specific workflows such as returns, service billing, and connected-site access.
Pros: Around-the-clock worldwide support is relevant for warehouses operating outside standard business hours.
Cons: Custom pricing requires a project discussion, making it harder to compare costs before defining scope.
Cons: Its broad configuration and automation remit is more than a buyer seeking a straightforward, single-purpose inventory tool may need.

Alternatives

Compare warehouse management software if you want to survey the wider category before choosing a system.

OpenBoxes is worth considering when a free, self-managed option is preferable: its Community Self-Hosted plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes unlimited users, self-managed hosting, storage on your server, and no minimum term. Pick it over LFS if those terms suit your needs better than a project-priced system.
Made4net WMS is another paid warehouse platform with Android, iOS, Linux, self-hosted, web, and Windows support. Choose it for comparison if you want to assess custom pricing that varies by features, warehouse size, and cloud or on-premise deployment.
Generix Resource Management System is a paid option for buyers comparing web- and API-based software with pricing handled through an expert contact.
Manhattan Active Inventory Replenishment is a paid web- and API-based alternative to consider if you are comparing options in the inventory replenishment category.
Ramco Enterprise Asset Management is a paid Android, iOS, and web product whose price varies by installation type and industry-specific requirements; consider it when asset management is the need.
Körber Transportation Management is a paid web-based alternative.
Mantis WMS (Logistics Vision Suite) is a paid option for buyers comparing Android, web, and Windows support.
Anchanto Warehouse Management is a paid web- and Android-based alternative.

Verdict

Choose EPG LFS if your operation needs configurable warehouse execution across sites or clients, especially where ERP and material-flow automation must connect to inventory and order workflows. Its broad operational scope, industry-specific capabilities, and deployment choice make it a credible fit for complex warehouses. Look elsewhere if you need a straightforward tool with a clear price before engaging a vendor; LFS requires a scoped project and custom quote.
