Overview

Ecomvis focuses on product discovery: shoppers can search in plain language, speak a query, or upload a photo to find visually similar catalog products ranked by similarity. That range is useful when shoppers cannot readily name an item, though the product is aimed at finding store products rather than serving as a general-purpose search assistant.

The widget brings those search modes to shoppers, while the REST API offers another integration path. The API accepts JSON, requires HTTPS, and uses a separate API key for each store. Keys are restricted to the registered domain, which limits where store access can be used. Image uploads are capped at 10 MB and audio uploads at 25 MB. Voice search supports over 100 languages.

Key features

Search, widget, and analytics

Text, image, and voice search are included in every plan. Similarity-ranked visual results make image search particularly relevant to stores whose customers recognize a product but do not know what to call it. The dashboard reports search volumes and trending queries, shows usage and quotas, and supports multiple websites in one account. Those tools help operators monitor search activity across sites, although the usefulness of a plan still depends on its monthly search allowance.

Integrations and safeguards

Integration guides cover Shopify, WooCommerce, Webflow, Wix, vanilla JavaScript/HTML, and custom CMS platforms, giving teams several routes to connect a store. Ecomvis says it is committed to GDPR compliance and uses encryption, secure servers, and access controls to protect data. Stripe processes payment details; Ecomvis says it does not store or access full card information. Support is available at support@ecomvis.com, with sales@ecomvis.com and info@ecomvis.com given for integration help.

Pricing

The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes 50 AI searches per month, one website, all three search modes, API access, and community support. It is a sensible way to try the product on a small store, but the search quota and single-site cap make it a poor fit for sustained or multi-store use.

Pay As You Go is shown at 0.00 USD per month with monthly billing, and also at $0.05/mo. It has no monthly search limit and allows unlimited websites, all three search modes, API access, and advanced analytics. That removes the free plan's key caps, but the displayed amounts differ, so confirm the charge basis before choosing it.

Starter Monthly is 9.00 USD per month, billed monthly, and is also shown as $29/mo. It includes 5,000 AI searches per month across three websites, all search modes, API access, an analytics dashboard, and email support. Starter Yearly is 89.00 USD per year, billed yearly, also shown as $108/yr, with the same monthly search and website limits and included features. These plans suit smaller stores that need more than the free quota; the yearly option has the same stated monthly allowance but a different billing term.

Growth monthly costs 29.00 USD per month, billed monthly, and is also shown as $49/mo. Growth yearly costs 279.00 USD per year, billed yearly, and is also shown as $348/yr. Both include 15,000 AI searches per month, 10 websites, all search modes, API access, advanced analytics, priority support, and custom widget branding. They are the more capable fit for operators managing several storefronts, with a higher quota and support level than Starter.

Pro monthly costs 69.00 USD per month, billed monthly, and is also shown as $89/mo. Pro Yearly costs 659.00 USD per year, billed yearly, and is also shown as $828/yr. Both provide 75,000 searches per month across 25 websites, plus all search modes, API access, advanced analytics, priority support, and custom widget branding. That capacity is aimed at larger multi-site operations; smaller stores may not need its higher allowance. Across paid plans, reconcile the differing displayed figures before committing. Users may cancel anytime and retain access through the billing period's end; payments are generally non-refundable unless required by law.

Platforms

Ecomvis is available on the web and through an API. There is no mobile app or browser extension, so it is a store integration rather than a standalone mobile shopping-search tool.

Who it's for

Ecomvis is best for online store owners and technology partners seeking multimodal product discovery, especially when image or voice queries could help shoppers find catalog items. Its API guides and multi-site analytics also suit teams operating several storefronts. A small shop with low search volume can start on Free; businesses needing larger quotas, more sites, branding, or priority support should consider Growth or Pro. It is less suitable for shoppers seeking a general visual-search app or for stores that need a mobile app.

Pros and cons

Pros: Text, image, and voice search give shoppers multiple ways to find products, and voice support spans over 100 languages.
Pros: Integration guides cover several ecommerce platforms and custom sites, while domain-restricted API keys add a store-level access boundary.
Pros: Analytics track search volumes, trending queries, usage, and quotas across multiple websites.
Cons: Free is limited to 50 searches monthly and one website, constraining stores with meaningful traffic or multiple properties.
Cons: The plan amounts are displayed inconsistently, making it harder to judge the actual cost before subscribing.
Cons: Large uploads are restricted to 10 MB for images and 25 MB for audio; there is no mobile app or browser extension.

Alternatives

AI Visual Search Tools is a directory of visual-search options for readers comparing products in the category. Choose Google Lens instead when you want a free visual-search tool across Android, iOS, macOS, web, and Windows, rather than a store-focused search platform.

Pinterest Lens is a free option for Pinterest users who want mobile camera search; it requires a Pinterest account and camera access. Choose FindLume if you want another web-and-API product-search service with a free tier, a trial, and a Build plan at 99.00 EUR per month for one website and up to 10,000 searches.

i spy is a free-to-download Android and iOS alternative, though some features may require a paid subscription. Lookbook AI is worth considering if its self-hosted option matters: its free Starter plan includes up to 1,000 products, 1,000 searches per month, a visual product-finder widget, basic analytics, and email support.

Pictr.ai is another web-and-API freemium option with a free trial; its free plan includes up to 50 products, 100 searches per month, one API key, and an embeddable widget, with a 'Powered by Pictr.ai' badge. Trooply Visual Search API may fit teams seeking a free API tier with 50 products, 1,000 API calls per month, a 10-request-per-minute limit, and image and text search; its Basic plan is 24.99 USD per month. ASOS Style Match is a free Android and iOS alternative from ASOS.

Verdict

Choose Ecomvis if you run an online store and want one product-discovery setup for text, image, and voice search, backed by API integrations and multi-site analytics. Its strongest case is the breadth of search inputs and store integration routes. Look elsewhere if you need a standalone mobile tool, or hold off on a paid plan until you have confirmed which of its differing displayed prices applies.
