Overview

Eagle View Yard Management System is cloud software for coordinating trailer activity across a shipping yard. It is best suited to supply-chain and logistics teams that need to manage appointments, gate activity, and driver moves alongside a live yard view. Its broad operational coverage is compelling, provided a customer is prepared for a configured system rather than a fixed, off-the-shelf setup.

Key features

The graphical yard view brings trailer locations, dock loading status, and jockey moves together, with yard modules updating in real time. This gives teams a shared operational picture across inventory and active moves; the payoff depends on configuring the system to reflect the customer’s yard layout and rules.

The Appointment Schedule supports adding, editing, searching, viewing, and rescheduling inbound and outbound appointments. The Gate Module handles check-in and check-out for trailers, tractors, and visitors, including vehicles without appointments. Jockey and shuttle drivers can accept, start, complete, edit, or decline move requests on tablet-mounted devices. These connected workflows suit yards that want appointment, arrival, and move coordination in one system.

Standard implementation reports include current inventory, move requests, dock-door history, detention history, driver history, gate history, and inbound and outbound status. Integration categories include WMS, GPS, OCR cameras, license ID scanners, TMS, automatic gate hardware, temperature sensors, ERP, appointment scheduling tools, and truck scales. REST API, EDI webhook, CSV transfer, and custom integrations provide several ways to connect surrounding systems, though the integration approach will need to match the operation’s setup.

The company says its support team provides lifetime 24/7 support and regular software updates, including security patches. The system is configured around each customer’s workflows, business rules, and yard layout; further customization costs extra. The Statement of Work sets delivery at six weeks after setup information and payment are received, a timeline buyers should account for when planning adoption.

Pricing

Eagle View is paid, with pricing from $20/user/mo. The Yard Management Solutions plan has custom pricing and supports up to 60 active users; additional users are sold in blocks of 10 at $20 per user per month. Buyers should confirm how the starting price applies to their team and budget for extra customization charges where needed.

The plan includes gate check-in, trailer inventory, a yard map, dock-door management, driver self-service, and a mobile app. Its 60-user ceiling is ample for some sites, but operations exceeding it must add users in fixed blocks rather than one at a time.

Platforms

Eagle View supports Android, iOS, and web. Driver move requests are handled on tablet-mounted devices, making mobile support relevant to yard teams coordinating activity away from a desk.

Who it's for

Supply-chain, logistics, distribution, transportation, and shipping-yard operators are the natural audience. It is strongest for teams that need live trailer visibility and want appointments, gate processing, driver moves, and reports coordinated in the same system. Buyers seeking a standard setup with no configuration work or additional customization charges should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pros: Real-time visibility combines trailer locations, dock status, and jockey moves, supporting a current view of yard activity.
Pros: Appointment, gate, and driver workflows cover key handoffs, including arrivals without appointments and driver self-service for move requests.
Pros: Broad integration categories and multiple connection methods can accommodate a range of operational systems.
Pros: Lifetime 24/7 support and regular security updates are part of the company’s stated customer support.
Cons: Customer-specific configuration means implementation requires setup information, with delivery set at six weeks after that information and payment are received.
Cons: Further customization costs extra, and teams above 60 active users must buy additional seats in blocks of 10.

Alternatives

Yard Management Software is a useful starting point for comparing more options. Consider Royal 4 WISE Yard Management System if Windows support matters alongside Android, iOS, and web. GoRamp Yard Management uses web access and tailors pricing to operation size and required modules, which may suit buyers who want a quote shaped around those needs.

Andlor Yard Management System offers both an on-demand hosted ASP service and a purchased license to run in-house, so it may suit a buyer considering those deployment models. C3 Yard is another paid option available on web, iOS, and Android. DKS YMS supports API, self-hosted, and web deployments, with SaaS pricing depending on objects or users. Made4net YardExpert offers self-hosted and web access. myQ Enterprise Gate Management is a paid web option.

Verdict

Eagle View is a strong fit for yard operators who want live trailer visibility tied to appointments, gate activity, driver moves, and operational reports. Its breadth is the main reason to choose it; customer-specific configuration, extra customization charges, the six-week delivery timeline, and per-user pricing are reasons to compare alternatives before committing.
