Overview

Stych is a French driving school that combines online theory preparation with in-person driving instruction. It is best suited to learners who want to study for the theory test, arrange lessons and monitor progress through one provider. Its broad network and free code course are compelling; practical lesson costs depend on the learner’s local agency.

Key features

The code course combines videos, course material, exercises and mock exams. Its Code plans include 5,000 questions and 30 mock exams, while the free tier makes that practice bank available without a subscription. Revision in the app is accessible around the clock, a useful fit for learners who need to study around work or school.

Students can manage their file, plan driving lessons and follow progress through the app, website or agencies. The app also supports administrative steps and displays teacher observations, linking independent revision with instructor feedback. Stych offers manual and automatic driving lessons, with conventional or accompanied-driving training. Lessons run Monday to Saturday, 7 h to 21 h.

The network has 78 agencies, 1,052 meeting points and 831 state-qualified instructors. That gives learners multiple routes to in-person instruction, although local coverage and prices depend on the agency serving their postal code. Stych also offers motorcycle, bicycle, scooter and eco-driving training. The company says it holds Qualiopi certification and is approved for CPF training funding.

Pricing

Stych has a free plan and no free trial. Code plans are priced per 12-month package, while driving prices start at a local-agency-dependent amount. The site requests a postal code to show the relevant agency rates, so learners should confirm local costs before committing. Booking a code exam costs 30 €.

Plan	Price	What it includes
Code Eco	0.00 USD per free; unlimited duration	Code app, video lessons and online manual, 5,000 questions and 30 mock exams.
Code Zen	9.99 USD per year, billed as a 12-month package; public price 19.99€	Code app, video lessons and online manual, 5,000 questions, 30 mock exams, administrative steps and coaching, and one code exam place.
Code Réussite	33.99 USD per year, billed as a 12-month package; public price 43.99€	The same published inclusions as Code Zen.
Permis Zen (manual, 5 lessons)	249.00 USD per once, from; public price 274€	Code, five driving lessons and an initial assessment; rates depend on the agency and postal code.

Code Eco is the strongest fit for self-directed learners: it includes the full question and mock-exam allotment, but not the coaching, administrative support or exam place included in the paid code packages. Code Zen and Code Réussite publish the same inclusions at different prices. The five-lesson Permis Zen package adds practical instruction, but its starting price and local rate variation make it less predictable than the code tiers.

Platforms

Stych is available on Android, iOS and the web. Its mobile app is focused on code revision and also supports file management, lesson planning and progress tracking.

Who it's for

Stych fits learners in France who want theory study and local in-person driving instruction from the same provider, especially those comfortable beginning with a free code course. It is less suitable for anyone who needs a single, nationally fixed driving-package price or wants school-administration software: Stych’s published capabilities concern student training management, and school administration is not included.

Pros and cons

Pros: The free course includes 5,000 questions and 30 mock exams, giving independent learners a substantial starting point without a paid plan.
Pros: App, web and agency access combine code revision, lesson planning and progress tracking with instructor feedback.
Pros: Manual and automatic lessons, accompanied driving and a wide agency and meeting-point network offer several ways to pursue practical training.
Cons: Driving prices vary by agency and postal code, so learners cannot compare a single fixed package price across locations.
Cons: Code Eco lacks coaching, administrative support and an exam place; booking the code exam costs 30 €.

Alternatives

En Voiture Simone is worth comparing for online-only theory learners: its free Code de la route plan includes unlimited access, no ads, 140 course sheets, 2,000 questions and 50 exam-aligned series. directio is aimed at driving schools managing students, instructors and vehicles, rather than learners seeking code revision and driving lessons. Ornikar is another option to compare for code preparation across Android, iOS and web; its listed Code de la route plan includes course sheets, practice sessions, mock exams, a progress path, error series and survival mode. For other options, see Driver Education Software, Diesel Xtrem Pro, CyberActive, Driver Ed Partners, DriveSpace and Driving Instructor Manager.

Verdict

Choose Stych if you are learning to drive in France and want a generous free theory course connected to lesson planning and local instruction. Its main advantage is that the study and practical-learning journey sit in one service; its main drawback is that driving prices vary by agency, so it is not the best choice if you need predictable costs before selecting a location.
