Overview

Distribute Strategic Account Plan is a free web tool for building an account plan from public company research and sales context. It suits sellers who want a structured starting point for planning a target account, rather than a full sales platform.

Its appeal is the range of planning work gathered into one editable output. Detailed organizational-chart visualization and power mapping are a separate job, so teams that need those capabilities should look beyond this generator.

Key features

To create a plan, users enter the target company, their own company and offering, their role, their goal, and any account intelligence they have. The AI combines those inputs with public-data research on the target, then produces company research, a SWOT analysis, stakeholder strategy, messaging angles, and a 30-day action plan. This is a useful framework for shaping an initial approach, but the seller still needs to check the result against their knowledge of the account.

The plan can be copied and edited, then saved to a Distribute Digital Sales Room for ongoing collaboration. Account objectives, action tracking, whitespace analysis, stakeholder management, and relationship maps extend the planning scope beyond a research summary. For detailed org-chart visualization and power mapping, Distribute recommends its separate free Stakeholder Map Generator.

The maker lists integrations including Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, Fathom, Chorus, Calendly, Chili Piper, Loom, Vidyard, Supademo, Consensus, Gmail, Google Suite, LinkedIn, Zapier, and Senja. Distribute says data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access uses role-based permissions, and the company is SOC 2 Type II and GDPR compliant. Its security controls include regular audits and penetration testing, continuous infrastructure monitoring, automatic backups and disaster recovery, and multi-factor authentication.

Pricing

The Strategic Account Plan Generator is free and is completely free. There is no free trial because no paid trial is offered for this tool. No signup is required, but users provide an email address to receive the plan and product updates. Distribute's separate Dante product costs $99/mo, month to month with cancellation anytime; that is not the price of the account-plan generator.

Platforms

The generator runs on the web. Its plan can be copied and edited, or saved to a Distribute Digital Sales Room for ongoing collaboration.

Who it's for

This is a good fit for sellers who want research, messaging prompts, stakeholder strategy, and an action plan in one free starting point. It is less suited to teams whose central need is detailed power mapping in the same tool, or to users who do not want to provide an email address to receive the result.

Pros and cons

Pros: The free generator brings public research, SWOT, messaging angles, stakeholder strategy, and a 30-day action plan together, reducing the effort of assembling an initial account plan from separate pieces.
Pros: Copying and editing the plan, then saving it to a Digital Sales Room, gives teams a way to keep developing the work collaboratively.
Cons: Detailed org-chart visualization and power mapping require a separate generator, which splits that workflow across tools.
Cons: Email is required to receive the plan, despite signup not being required.

Alternatives

Account Planning Software is a useful category starting point for comparing account-planning tools. Choose Visioner if you want an Android or iOS option as well as web access and are willing to pay for its Basic plan: 12.00 USD per month for 10 accounts, 100 archived emails per month, 100 Visioner Credits per month, and its listed email and review features. Altify is an alternative for teams seeking a paid, quote-based option with annual billing whose price depends on selected solutions, user count, and Revenue Services. Backstory Account Strategy & Execution uses custom pricing, with charges for people whose customer activity powers the platform and for answers consumed; consider it if that pricing approach suits your team.

BuyerRadar and Centralize are web-based freemium alternatives. Encompass-CX, Magnus Live Account Planning (Signals), and Macurial are paid alternatives.

Verdict

Choose Distribute Strategic Account Plan if you want a free, editable account-planning starting point that combines target research with practical next steps. Its chief limitation is that detailed power mapping lives in a separate tool; teams that need that work integrated into one workflow should look elsewhere.
