Overview

DispatchTrack combines logistics planning with execution in a single system. Its dashboard follows trucks, routes and orders in real time, and drivers receive live navigation through the mobile app. Dispatchers can therefore monitor progress while customers receive updates instead of relying on separate tracking and messaging tools.

The company was founded in 2010 and is headquartered in Campbell, California. It describes its customers as furniture retailers, food and beverage distributors, 3PLs and other delivery businesses. DispatchTrack says it renewed SOC 2 certification and earned HIPAA certification in 2024, with annual HIPAA renewal planned; that makes it more relevant to healthcare-related delivery work than a general-purpose route planner.

Key features

Routing and dispatch

AI-powered routing accepts configurable parameters, supports multiple depots, matches equipment and capacity, schedules by driver skill and handles multi-day routes. These controls matter when a fleet has different vehicle capabilities, specialist delivery requirements or plans that cannot be completed in one day. Simpler operations may not need this level of planning.

Live operations and customer contact

A logistics dashboard shows truck, route and delivery status in real time. DispatchTrack can automate customer notices by text and email, and two-way messaging lets customers communicate about a delivery rather than only receive a one-way alert. That combination gives dispatch teams a clearer view of exceptions and customers a direct channel for updates.

Driver app and proof of delivery

The driver app records digital proof of delivery with photos, signatures, timestamps and notes. It also supports live navigation. Crucially for unreliable coverage, drivers can continue working offline and synchronize updates when a connection returns, reducing gaps in delivery records. The listed iPhone and iPad app requires iOS 17 or later, so older Apple devices are not suitable.

Integrations, API and support

API integrations connect DispatchTrack with ERP, telematics and communications systems. Named integrations include NetSuite, SAP, Samsara, Geotab, Podium and Twilio. The API documentation sets a default allowance of 1,000 requests per day and one request per second; high-volume integrations should validate that ceiling during procurement. Phone and email support covers API documentation, onboarding, licensing, training, troubleshooting and integration assistance.

Pricing

DispatchTrack uses paid, custom pricing: prospective customers must request a quote. That approach can accommodate different fleet sizes and operational requirements, but it prevents a straightforward budget comparison and gives no published lower-cost tier for small teams. There is no stated free plan or trial to use as a low-risk evaluation. Buyers should obtain the complete quote and confirm any usage, seat, renewal or implementation terms before signing.

Platforms

DispatchTrack is offered on web, Android, iOS and through an API. The driver app is available on both major mobile platforms, while the DispatchTrack Mobile listing for iPhone and iPad requires iOS 17 or later. Offline driver operation helps in areas with weak signal, with synchronization once connectivity returns.

Who it's for

Choose DispatchTrack when your operation needs route optimization across depots, vehicle or capacity constraints, skilled-driver scheduling and multi-day planning alongside live tracking and customer communication. Furniture delivery, food and beverage distribution, 3PL and healthcare-related workflows are especially aligned with its stated customer base and compliance positioning.

It is less compelling for a small team that only needs basic dispatch or a transparent self-serve price. The custom quote, API rate limits and iOS 17 requirement add procurement and compatibility checks that simpler operations may prefer to avoid.

Pros and cons

Pro: Multi-depot, capacity, equipment, skill and multi-day routing supports genuinely varied delivery operations.
Pro: Offline driver work plus photo, signature, timestamp and note capture preserves proof of delivery when connectivity is poor.
Pro: Automated text and email updates with two-way messaging keep customers and dispatchers in the same communication loop.
Con: The default API limit of 1,000 requests per day and one request per second may constrain high-volume integrations.
Con: Custom pricing and no stated free tier make initial cost and small-business fit difficult to assess.
Con: iPhone and iPad users need iOS 17 or later, which excludes older Apple hardware.

Alternatives

Resgrid is the better starting point for teams wanting a freemium option, broad platform coverage including self-hosting, and a free plan for up to 10 entities, though its free tier is limited to US-West/North America and excludes SMS.

Onro suits buyers seeking a free, fully customizable demo with unlimited orders, users and drivers and no credit card requirement.

Fieldified is worth considering when scheduling, invoicing, CRM and reporting are priorities and a published Basic plan starts at $49.00 per month for five users.

Super Dispatch fits carriers wanting a free Carrier TMS Lite tier with a driver app and limited dashboard, while accepting that advanced reporting and automated invoicing are not included.

Shipday is a practical lower-cost option for small volumes: its free plan covers up to 300 orders per month and 10 driver accounts, with a 14-day full-platform trial.

FieldOpt is preferable to organizations wanting a self-hosted, AGPL-3.0 community edition for up to 25 technicians.

Haul-IT is an alternative for teams seeking a Windows, Android and iOS product with demo-led purchasing.

PremierOne CAD is another sales-contact option for organizations needing Android, iOS, web and Windows coverage.

Verdict

DispatchTrack is a strong choice for established delivery operations that need sophisticated routing, live execution visibility, customer messaging and resilient proof of delivery in one platform. Choose it for that end-to-end control; look elsewhere if you need transparent pricing, a free entry tier, very high API throughput or support for older iOS devices.
