Overview

Daisie brings together classes and a creator community across film, fashion, art, photography and design. Daily live workshops offer an interactive option, while recorded video lessons can be watched on your own schedule. Courses are online and can be taken from anywhere, so the format works for learners who want flexibility without relying solely on a video library.

The community can connect learners with peers and experts, and Daisie invites visitors to join its Discord. That is not the same as guaranteed personal feedback: one course page says instructors are not obliged to comment directly on student work. The homepage reports an average student rating of 4.8 out of 5 across more than 10,000 reviews.

Key features

Live workshops and on-demand lessons

Daily workshops give learners a live, interactive format; recorded lessons suit those who need to study around other commitments. Having both formats is a meaningful advantage for learners who value choice, though it does not guarantee individual instructor attention.

Course requirements and feedback

Requirements can shape whether a course is practical for you. One animation course requires art equipment, Procreate on iPad, and Photoshop with the Animator’s Toolbar installed on iPad, Macbook or PC. Check that you have the necessary tools before committing. Daisie also says subscription refund requests can be sent to hello@daisie.com.

Pricing

Daisie uses a freemium model and offers a free plan plus a 7-day trial with full access. Its Standard subscription is priced at 0.00 USD per year, billed $0/mo billed annually ($0); the plan wording also describes full access during the 7-day trial. That makes the trial a way to access the full offering temporarily, but the provided terms do not establish what a paid subscription costs after it ends. Confirm the course and subscription terms before relying on a continuing free price.

Course requirements are an additional practical cost: the animation course, for example, calls for art equipment and specified software. No seat limits or usage quotas are given, so Daisie is most straightforward for an individual learner evaluating the trial and course fit.

Platforms

Daisie is available on the web and iOS. Its mobile app support is iOS-only, so Android users would need to use the web experience rather than a dedicated Android app.

Who it's for

Daisie suits people developing creative skills who want a mix of live instruction, flexible recorded lessons and access to a creator community. It is less suitable for anyone whose decision depends on assured instructor critique, or who cannot meet a course’s equipment and software requirements.

Pros and cons

Pro: Daily live workshops sit alongside recorded lessons, giving learners both interactive and self-paced ways to study.
Pro: Online courses can be taken from anywhere, and the community offers routes to peer and expert feedback.
Con: Instructor comments on student work are not guaranteed, limiting the certainty of personal critique.
Con: Some classes require specific hardware, software and art equipment, which can add cost or make them impractical.
Con: The mobile app is iOS-only, a drawback for learners who prefer an Android app.

Alternatives

For community management rather than creative lessons, HuddleSpot offers a free Starter plan for up to 100 members, five spaces or channels, basic analytics and community discussions, with Android, iOS and web support. Skillspad is a better fit for creators selling learning products: its free Starter plan supports up to 25 products and one landing page, with a 10% platform fee and 500MB storage; it has web and API platforms but no free trial.

Fora may suit a web-based community centered on member capacity, with free plans for 200 or 5,000 members and an Enterprise option with unlimited members at custom pricing. OpenCourse is worth considering when you want a course platform with unlimited members and unlimited courses on its free plan. Learnify is an alternative for streaming-focused learning, with Android, iOS and web support and a Perks+ plan offering 1080p viewing, ad-free viewing and one saved stream for 30-day access.

Nas.com is a free web, iOS and Android option. Circle is a paid community platform with a free trial and broad platform support; its Professional plan is $89.00 USD per month on annual billing and includes unlimited members, 20 spaces and a 2% transaction fee. GroupApp is another freemium community option with web, iOS and Android support. Browse Learning Community Platforms or Online Community Platforms for more options.

Verdict

Choose Daisie if you want creative instruction that combines daily live workshops, on-demand lessons and a community, and you can meet the requirements of the courses that interest you. Its central trade-off is that community feedback is possible but direct instructor comments are not assured. Look elsewhere if guaranteed critique, Android app support or a course with lighter equipment demands is essential.
