Overview

CrisisGo covers prevention and preparedness through response, accountability, recovery, and continuous improvement. It brings alerts together with intervention case management, visitor screening, and emergency mustering, serving schools, businesses, public safety agencies, healthcare organizations, and communities. That range is useful when safety work extends beyond sending a warning; organizations seeking only a focused notification tool may not need the full scope.

Community members can create a free account and subscribe to message groups. For broader comparisons, see Mass Notification Software and Incident Management Software.

Key features

Alerts and response

Safety iResponse combines mass notifications, live maps, accountability, panic button activation, and ECHO Badge activation. Alerts can reach people by SMS, voice call, email, desktop, or mobile app, and two-way messaging supports replies. The 500-recipient audience limit is a material constraint for larger groups: check whether the intended alert audience fits before choosing it.

Prevention and follow-up

Safety Intervention Manager and Tipline support reporting, case management, assigned follow-up, and visibility into interventions. This makes CrisisGo more relevant to organizations that need to track what happens after a concern is raised, not just distribute alerts.

Visitors, mustering, and integrations

Safety iPass covers visitor screening, secure check-in, event access, hall passes, and student movement. Emergency Mustering Manager tracks employees, contractors, and visitors, separating reported, unreported, and manually accounted people on one dashboard. The Open API can connect with HR, access control, student information, dispatch, IoT, and other applications that support modern web services, which can help fit CrisisGo into existing operations.

Security and support

CrisisGo says personal-data access is limited to people with a business need to know and that it has procedures for suspected breaches. Its platform is backed by Amazon Web Services and is described as able to scale to millions of users. The independent schools plan includes 24/7 support, training, and a dedicated Account Manager.

Pricing

CrisisGo is freemium, with paid plans from $2,520/yr. The free community account is for subscribing to message groups; it is not a substitute for the organization-level safety workflows. The paid plan with a published price is Safety iResponse for Independent Schools: 2520.00 USD per year, billed CrisisGo’s Annual price per school.

That plan covers up to 500 students, with each additional student billed at $5 per year, and includes unlimited teachers, staff, and community members. It also includes 24/7 support, training, and a dedicated Account Manager. The per-school annual charge may suit an independent school that wants a supported alerting program, but the student add-on cost rises with enrollment. The 500-recipient audience limit also deserves separate attention when planning who must receive alerts.

Platforms

CrisisGo supports Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, web, and browser extension use. Its downloads page links apps for iOS, Android, Chrome, Windows PCs, Macs, and Chromebooks, giving schools and organizations several ways to reach users across devices.

Who it's for

CrisisGo is best suited to schools that want alerting, intervention follow-up, visitor management, and emergency mustering in a shared safety platform. Businesses, healthcare organizations, public safety agencies, and communities may also benefit when they need multiple parts of that lifecycle together. It is a weaker fit for a school whose audience exceeds the alert limit or whose budget cannot absorb the per-student charge, and for anyone who needs only a narrow alerting function.

Pros and cons

Broad safety coverage: Alerts, intervention workflows, visitor access, and mustering can support connected operations rather than isolated emergency messaging.
Multiple alert channels: SMS, voice, email, desktop, mobile alerts, and two-way messaging offer several routes for reaching and hearing from recipients.
School-specific support: The independent schools plan includes round-the-clock support, training, and a dedicated Account Manager.
Costs scale with enrollment: The annual school plan adds $5 per year for each student beyond 500.
Recipient ceiling: The 500-recipient audience limit may rule out some larger alert groups.

Alternatives

Choose incident.io instead if the priority is Slack or Microsoft Teams-native incident response, on-call coordination, status pages, and incident automation; its Basic plan is free forever for a single team. Choose Grafana Cloud Application Observability instead for host monitoring and application observability: its free plan includes 2,232 host hours, rather than CrisisGo’s safety workflows. ITOC360 is another option to compare for monitoring, with a free plan capped at one user, 50 SMS and five voice calls monthly, one monitoring source, and seven-day data retention.

PagerDuty, Spectate, AlertOps, xMatters, and FireHydrant are additional alternatives to compare.

Verdict

CrisisGo is a strong choice for schools and other organizations that want emergency alerts connected to prevention, visitor management, and accountability instead of managing those needs separately. Its strongest reason to choose it is that breadth, reinforced for independent schools by included support and training. Look elsewhere if the 500-recipient ceiling is too low, if per-student charges strain the budget, or if a focused incident or monitoring tool better matches the job.
