Overview

Configuration data travels from product pages through cart and checkout into order items, keeping customer selections attached to the resulting order. Product rules and guided selling structure the choice process. This makes ConfigCraft a practical fit when configured products must remain understandable within a WooCommerce workflow, but it is not a general-purpose standalone platform.

The free core covers guided steps, option fields, simple live pricing, artwork uploads, saved and shared configurations, and cart-to-order data. That is enough for straightforward options; stores with combination-based pricing, formal quote review, or post-order production tracking will need additional components.

Key features

Configuration and pricing

Free supports guided configuration and simple option pricing. Pro adds matrix pricing, CSV price-list imports, cross-field filters, a pricing simulator, and premium starter kits. These additions suit stores with prices that vary across option combinations or price lists that change frequently. For a simple catalog, the extra pricing tools may not justify an annual license.

Quotes and production

The Quote Add-on organizes quote requests with configuration summaries, admin review, customer follow-up, PDFs, and conversion from quote to order. It is aimed at custom-sales workflows rather than stores that can take every configured purchase directly through checkout. The Production Add-on tracks statuses and keeps internal notes, worksheets, files, and operational context with configured orders, making it more relevant to teams that need to coordinate work after purchase.

Compatibility and support

ConfigCraft is designed for compatible WordPress and WooCommerce installations, but compatibility is not guaranteed with every theme, plugin, host, or customized installation. Paid annual licenses include English standard support through official My Account channels and email, without a guaranteed response time. Updates may include security, compatibility, bug-fix, and feature improvements; after license renewal lapses, installed software continues working, but updates, premium resources, and add-on modules require renewal.

Pricing

Free: Free. Includes guided configuration, simple option pricing, file uploads, saved and shared configurations, and WooCommerce cart and checkout.
ConfigCraft Free: Free. The complete configurator core is GPL open source and does not expire.
ConfigCraft Pro — Single Site: 99.00 EUR per year, renewing at €99/year; launch price excluded. Covers 1 site.
ConfigCraft Pro — Studio: 199.00 EUR per year, renewing at €199/year; launch price excluded. Covers 3 sites.
ConfigCraft Pro — Agency: 399.00 EUR per year, renewing at €399/year; launch price excluded. Covers 10 sites.
Quote Add-on — Single Site: 2939.00 EUR per year for 1 production site. Free and matching Pro required.
Quote Add-on — Studio: 5979.00 EUR per year for 3 production sites. Free and matching Pro required.
Quote Add-on — Agency: 119159.00 EUR per year for 10 production sites. Free and matching Pro required.
ConfigCraft Suite — Single Site: 129149.00 EUR per year for 1 production site, including Pro, Quote, and Production.
ConfigCraft Suite: custom pricing for 1, 3, or 10 production websites.

The two free entries give stores a no-expiry core for basic configuration, but not Pro’s advanced pricing or the dedicated quote and production workflows. Pro’s site-based tiers suit one store, a small studio, or an agency managing multiple sites; the production-site limits matter when choosing a tier. Quote requires Free and matching Pro, so it is an additional commitment rather than a standalone upgrade. No trial is described for ConfigCraft.

Platforms

ConfigCraft is self-hosted and web-based, with an embedded deployment in compatible WordPress and WooCommerce stores. External integrations should use documented server-side endpoints or HTTPS webhooks; privileged credentials should not be placed in browser code.

Who it's for

Free is positioned for stores selling configurable products. Pro is for stores with large or frequently updated price lists; Quote is for custom-sales workflows; and Production is for teams managing post-order operations. Stores outside compatible WooCommerce environments, or those needing only simple product options without operational workflows, have less reason to choose the suite.

Pros and cons

Pros

The free core carries choices into WooCommerce cart, checkout, and order items, avoiding a basic configuration flow detached from the resulting order.
Pro combines matrix pricing, CSV imports, cross-field filters, and a simulator for catalogs with more demanding pricing rules.
Quote and Production add distinct review and post-order tools for teams handling custom sales and fulfillment operations.

Cons

Advanced pricing and operational workflows require paid licenses or add-ons, and Quote also requires Free plus matching Pro.
Compatibility is not guaranteed across third-party themes, plugins, hosting, or customized WordPress installations.
Paid support is English-only standard support with no guaranteed response time, and renewal is needed for updates, premium resources, and add-on modules.

Verdict

Choose ConfigCraft if your store already runs compatible WooCommerce and you want configuration data to stay connected through checkout, with a path to quoting and production operations. Its free core is a sensible starting point for simple options. Look elsewhere if compatibility outside WooCommerce matters, or if you need advanced workflows but do not want the recurring license and add-on costs.
