Overview

Cohentis connects change initiatives to intended benefits and evidence of how people respond. Its three-app structure suits organisations where portfolio leaders, change managers and field agents need to work across the same change effort; it is less suited to teams seeking a direct change-fatigue score.

The suite separates organisation-wide oversight, project planning and frontline listening into Change portfolio, Change plan and Change mission. That division gives each role a distinct job while keeping plans, measurements and observations connected.

Key features

Benefits and adoption

Change portfolio maps benefits to initiatives and records a starting point, target and latest measurement for each benefit. This helps portfolio owners assess whether initiatives are tied to outcomes, rather than treating activity alone as evidence of progress. Users can set leading indicators, target values and measurement rhythms; scheduled checks and due or overdue flags help keep follow-up on the agenda.

Planning and evidence

Change plan combines a risk register with a timeline for sub-plans, milestones, measurement points and dependencies. For change managers coordinating connected work, that brings sequencing and risk into the same planning context. Cohentis also connects actions to risks, insights to conversations and decisions to their prompts, creating an evidence trail that can help teams understand why choices were made.

Frontline listening

Change agents can open mission files without an account, record what people say on a device and return findings as a file. This lowers the account barrier for fieldwork and supports teams that prefer project data to stay in local files. Change mission files can be used on a phone, and the apps require no installation.

Cohentis does not directly measure change fatigue. It shows initiatives and what emerges by group, which can help leaders identify whom to speak with, but teams needing a direct fatigue measure will need another approach. The app contains no AI; users may use their own AI to make an initial portfolio fill, with each line requiring confirmation.

Pricing

Plan	Price	What it includes
Free	0.00 USD per free	Change plan, Change portfolio and Change mission; one person can run one change project; no account.
Pro	20.00 USD per month	Billed per change manager / month; one licence covers all three apps; returned mission files applied to the plan; reports without watermark; strategy-to-front-line portfolio image.
Enterprise	Custom pricing	Own-server hosting, file or own-database storage, single sign-on and apps in the organisation's house style.

Free is a focused way for one person to run one project, but its one-person cap limits collaboration. Pro is the step up for change managers who need returned mission files incorporated into the plan and unwatermarked reports; its per-manager monthly billing makes the number of licensed managers a cost consideration. Enterprise is aimed at organisations requiring their own hosting or database, single sign-on or branded apps.

For Free and Pro, project data is stored as a file on the user's device, with no account or server holding the change project. Cohentis says it does not track user behaviour and that anonymous usage counts contain no project data.

Platforms

Cohentis supports Android, iOS, web and self-hosted use. The phone-compatible mission files and no-installation apps are useful for field agents capturing observations away from a desk; Enterprise adds own-server hosting and file or own-database storage.

Who it's for

The named audience includes portfolio managers, directors, department heads, project and programme managers, change managers and change agents. Cohentis is strongest for organisations that need to connect strategic benefits, delivery planning, measurement and frontline observations. It is a weaker fit for a single-purpose task tracker or teams that require direct change-fatigue measurement.

The product is built by Geert Barandat, who has led IT programmes, portfolios and change in Belgian organisations for more than twenty years; Cohentis is headquartered in Lembeek (Halle), Belgium.

Pros and cons

Connected benefit and adoption tracking: initiatives can be tied to benefit baselines, targets and current measurements, with due and overdue prompts for scheduled checks.
Field feedback without agent accounts: mission files can be opened on a device and returned as files, reducing the account hurdle for change agents.
Local-file privacy model on Free and Pro: project data stays on the user's device rather than in an account or server-held project.
One-project Free cap: one person can run only one change project, so it is not a broad collaborative rollout tier.
No direct fatigue measurement: teams must use group-level observations to decide whom to consult rather than rely on a fatigue score.
Enterprise pricing is custom: organisations needing its hosting, identity or branding options will need to discuss pricing.

Alternatives

Explore Change Management Software for a broader category comparison.

Avanqi is another freemium web option; its Free plan allows one active change project and one active member, with core portfolio, stakeholder and document workspaces, making it a relevant alternative for web-based core workspace needs.
OCM Solution is a web-based paid option with a free plan and trial; consider it if its view-only guest licences or OCM Library plan better match the access or library needs of your team.
ChangeFolio offers a free web plan with one user, one active company and 1,000 active stakeholders, so it may suit a solo user who prioritises that stated allowance.
ChangeGate is a paid web alternative.
Changewiser offers a scoped program engagement with success criteria and exit, with pricing scaling by transformation rather than employee headcount; consider it for that engagement model.
AmpleLogic Audit Management is a paid web alternative.
Aspen is a paid web alternative.
ChangeAble is a paid web alternative.

Verdict

Choose Cohentis if your organisation needs one connected path from strategic benefits through change planning and measurement to field observations, particularly if keeping Free or Pro project data in local files matters. Look elsewhere if you need change fatigue measured directly, or if one-person, one-project Free access is too restrictive and Pro's per-manager monthly model does not fit.
