Overview

Barcode scans and task events create timestamped labor records as work happens. Custom task types let teams record indirect activities, so meetings, replenishment support, or other non-scan work can be included in productivity analysis instead of disappearing from it. The system links these records to customer accounts, orders, service categories, and facilities, creating a management view that spans operations and commercial performance.

Da Vinci has served mid-market 3PLs with multi-client and multi-site operations since 1993. Its product is multi-tenant cloud SaaS running on AWS, accessed through a browser with desktop and mobile access. That deployment suits distributed teams that need a common system across facilities, while organizations seeking a simple single-site time tracker may find its broader scope unnecessary.

Key features

Capture, assignment, and productivity

Automatic capture from scans and tasks reduces employee data entry. Supervisors can assign and reassign tasks in real time, and configurable workflows adapt the system to different warehouse processes. Labor KPIs and dashboards show productivity trends and workload, helping managers set clearer expectations, distribute work more evenly, and identify training needs.

Profitability and analytics

Labor data can flow into billing views that show profitability by customer, service, and facility. This is a meaningful advantage for 3PLs pricing varied services or reviewing account performance; a labor metric that cannot be tied to revenue is less useful for those decisions. Da Vinci also describes AI-powered analytics, role-based dashboards, configurable reports, plain-language queries, and data export, giving analysts several ways to investigate performance without relying on one fixed report.

WMS, integration, and controls

Labor Management is built into Da Vinci WMS, with labor data moving alongside warehouse execution, 3PL billing, and analytics without middleware. A REST API, EDI support, and integrations for ERP and finance systems, shopping carts, carriers, analytics, automation, and robotics broaden its fit in an established technology stack. SOC 2 compliance, encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and a full audit trail address governance requirements for multi-client operations.

Da Vinci states that its support operation provides 24/7 domestic technical assistance, a 15-minute average initial response, and quarterly business reviews. Those services are particularly relevant when labor rules and customer billing processes differ by site.

Pricing

Plan	Price	Best fit
Da Vinci Labor Management	Custom pricing; request a demo	3PLs and brands evaluating labor, billing, and multi-facility workflows

There is one paid plan, with no published seat limits, usage quotas, trial period, renewal terms, or free tier. Buyers should expect a sales-led evaluation rather than self-serve sign-up. The absence of a public figure makes direct budget comparison difficult, but a consultation can account for facility count, integrations, and billing complexity. Smaller operators that need an immediate, predictable price should look at alternatives with a clearer commercial entry point.

Platforms

The service runs through a web browser and supports desktop and mobile access. An API is available for system integration, alongside EDI support. It is therefore suitable for offices, warehouse devices, and connected enterprise systems without requiring a separate native mobile application.

Who it's for

Choose it when several facilities, customers, and service categories make labor allocation and account profitability difficult to reconcile. It is especially compelling when Da Vinci WMS already handles warehouse execution, because the built-in connection avoids middleware between execution, labor, billing, and analytics. A small warehouse with uncomplicated labor rules, or a company outside the Da Vinci ecosystem that wants a lightweight standalone tool, is less likely to benefit from the full platform.

Pros and cons

Pros

Operational-to-financial linkage: labor can be analyzed by customer, service, and facility, supporting account-level profitability decisions.
Broad capture: scan-based timestamps plus custom indirect-work tasks provide a fuller labor picture.
Real-time control: assignment and reassignment, configurable workflows, and dashboards help supervisors respond as conditions change.
Enterprise integration: native Da Vinci WMS connectivity, REST API, EDI, and multiple business-system integrations reduce integration gaps.
Governance and support: SOC 2 controls, encryption, audit trails, 24/7 domestic support, and quarterly reviews suit demanding operations.

Cons

Custom pricing: buyers cannot calculate a budget from a public price or compare plan tiers without contacting Da Vinci.
WMS dependency risk: the strongest workflow comes from Da Vinci WMS integration, which may be less attractive to organizations standardized on another warehouse system.
Complexity for small sites: multi-facility labor, billing, and analytics capabilities may exceed the needs of a single uncomplicated warehouse.

Verdict

Da Vinci Labor Management is a strong choice for multi-site 3PLs and brands that need one operational view of labor, customer service, and facility profitability, especially on Da Vinci WMS. Its scan-and-task capture, live assignment, analytics, integrations, and controls address complex warehouse governance rather than basic timekeeping. Look elsewhere if transparent pricing, a free entry plan, or independence from the Da Vinci WMS ecosystem is more important than integrated labor and billing visibility.
