Overview

CCH Tagetik brings financial close, planning and reporting together for finance teams that need budgeting, forecasting, consolidation and related processes on one platform. It is aimed at enterprise-scale Office of the CFO organizations; its breadth is the draw, while custom pricing makes the buying decision harder to scope.

Founded in Lucca, Italy, in 1986, Tagetik launched its brand in 2005 and became part of Wolters Kluwer in 2017. The product is used by more than 2,000 finance teams across over 60 countries.

Key features

Planning combines budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling and variance analysis, including forecast-versus-actuals work. That mix suits teams that need to compare plans with outcomes and model different financial scenarios; it is a more integrated proposition than budgeting alone.

Financial close and consolidation are designed to support audit-ready results across entities. For finance organizations managing multi-entity close, that focus brings consolidation alongside planning and reporting rather than treating it as a separate concern.

The platform also covers workforce planning, ESG and regulatory reporting, corporate tax, account reconciliation, profitability analysis and supply chain planning. This range can support broader finance and performance-management needs, but organizations looking for only a narrow budgeting or reporting tool may find its enterprise scope excessive.

Integrations include connectors for SAP, Microsoft and Qlik, as well as ERP, CRM, SharePoint, MS Office and numerous data formats. The SAP HANA version is described as SAP-powered certified, with real-time data access and drill-through. These connections matter to businesses building finance processes around existing systems, though no particular integration setup or implementation effort is established.

Deployment can be cloud or on-premise. CCH Tagetik Cloud has ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and SOC 1 and SOC 2 ISAE 3000 Type II certifications or reports; its SaaS application also has ISO/IEC 27017:2021 and ISO/IEC 27018:2025 certifications. The deployment page reports 99.9% uptime achieved and 24x7x365 availability monitoring and alerting. Those assurances may matter to organizations with demanding governance and availability requirements.

Pricing

CCH Tagetik is a paid product with custom pricing; request a demo or quote. There is one named plan, CCH Tagetik, with no published price or tier breakdown to compare. Buyers should contact the maker to establish a quote for their intended deployment and scope. Standard support is included in the annual maintenance fee, with services varying between on-premise and cloud customers; additional support options cost extra.

Platforms

CCH Tagetik supports web and self-hosted deployment, with the vendor describing its deployment choices as cloud or on-premise. That gives organizations a choice of operating model, rather than requiring every customer to use cloud.

Who it's for

This is best suited to enterprise finance teams seeking a broad performance-management platform for the Office of the CFO, especially those combining planning with financial close and consolidation. Its breadth and deployment options are strengths for complex organizations. Smaller teams or buyers seeking a simple, low-cost tool should weigh the custom quote and enterprise-scale positioning carefully.

Pros and cons

Verdict
