Overview

BusyBusy is workforce time-tracking software for employers managing field teams across mobile and web. It suits organizations that want to start with unlimited users on a free plan and add supervisory or project tools as needs grow. The breadth of its paid tiers is useful, though custom pricing makes it harder to assess the cost of expanding beyond the free plan.

Key features

Timekeeping across a workforce

Break and overtime tracking, geofencing, kiosk mode, and payroll integrations address practical parts of attendance management. Together with web, iOS, and Android access, they make BusyBusy a reasonable candidate for teams whose workers and supervisors need more than a basic clock-in tool. The payroll integrations are a potential advantage, but teams should confirm that their payroll provider is supported before relying on them.

Supervision and scheduling

Pro adds GPS breadcrumbing, supervisor tools, daily sign-offs, photos and notes, and scheduling. That package gives managers more ways to oversee work and capture a daily record than the free tier does. It is a better fit for teams that need location context and structured sign-off; teams seeking only basic timekeeping may not need to move up.

Project coordination

Premium includes everything in Pro, then adds documents, daily project reports, progress tracking, checklists, and team messaging. Those additions make it the more relevant tier for teams that want timekeeping alongside project coordination. For organizations that do not need those workflows, Premium's broader package may be unnecessary.

Pricing

BusyBusy uses a freemium model, with a free plan and a 14-day trial. The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and allows unlimited users, making it a low-commitment starting point for teams that want broad access without a per-user cap.

Pro and Premium use custom pricing. Pro is the step up for GPS breadcrumbing, supervisor tools, daily sign-offs, photos and notes, and scheduling. Premium is for teams that also need documents, daily project reports, progress tracking, checklists, and team messaging. Since the paid tiers have custom pricing, teams should weigh those tools against their operational needs before choosing an upgrade; the free plan's unlimited users alone does not establish which tier includes the other capabilities.

Platforms

BusyBusy supports web, iOS, and Android, with a mobile app. That combination suits organizations whose workforce needs mobile access while managers also use the service on the web. It was founded in 2010 and is headquartered in Englewood, Colorado, United States.

Who it's for

BusyBusy is best suited to employers coordinating field work who want workforce timekeeping, mobile access, and a path to supervisor and project tools. The free plan's unlimited users make it especially worth considering for teams that want to avoid a user cap at the entry level. It is less compelling for buyers who need to know the cost of the paid tiers upfront, or whose only requirement is simple time tracking.

Pros and cons

Pro: The free plan allows unlimited users, so teams can start without a per-user limit.
Pro: Break and overtime tracking, geofencing, kiosk mode, and payroll integrations cover several workforce attendance needs.
Pro: Pro and Premium add distinct supervisor and project-coordination tools, giving teams a clear range of capabilities to consider.
Con: Pro and Premium use custom pricing, making the cost of those added capabilities less predictable at the selection stage.
Con: Payroll integrations are named, but the fit with a particular payroll provider must be confirmed before purchase.

Alternatives

For broader category comparisons, see Construction Time Tracking Software, Attendance Tracking Software, and Employee Time Tracking Software.

CausewayOne Attendance, eBacon, Hammr Time, mJob, and Rhumbix are paid alternatives with Android, iOS, and web access. Assignar is another paid option across web, iOS, and Android. These are neutral alternatives for readers comparing paid tools across the same platforms.

QuickBooks Time is a paid option with no free plan, web, iOS, and Android access, and plans that include one admin; choose it for its distinct plan structure if a paid product without a free tier better fits your buying approach. ClockShark is also paid and has no free plan; its Standard plan includes time and attendance, GPS and job tracking, scheduling, manager roles and approvals, and third-party integrations, so consider it when those specified tools align with your needs.

Verdict

Choose BusyBusy if you manage field teams and want unlimited users on a free entry plan, with a route to more substantial supervision and project workflows. Its strongest case is the combination of workforce tracking features and mobile access across web, iOS, and Android. Look elsewhere if published paid-tier prices are essential to your decision or if you need a confirmed payroll-provider match before proceeding.
