Overview

Bulsee combines group attendance, administration, and member communication for organizers of recurring activities. It suits classes, clubs, study groups, workplace circles, and fitness groups that want more than a sign-in sheet. Its broad toolkit is appealing for active communities, but groups that need only attendance tracking may prefer a narrower service.

Key features

Members can check in with one tap or a QR code, and organizers can record attendance for them. Absence and tardiness tracking, automated alerts, and reports on attendance rates and participation trends help organizers follow engagement across sessions, not just count who showed up. The trade-off is that Bulsee does not provide family notifications, making it a weaker fit for programs that need to keep parents or other family members informed.

Group owners can manage members and roles, approval requests, recurring schedules, event registration, cancellations, and capacity. Boards, announcements, posts, comments, and activity feeds keep group updates together, while one-to-one text and image messaging supports direct communication. Workout logs, challenges, quizzes, coach notes, membership passes, and push notifications add options for fitness and activity-based communities. This range helps groups combine organization and engagement, but may be unnecessary overhead for a simple roll call.

Google and Apple account sign-in are supported. The maker says it does not sell personal information or collect GPS or Wi-Fi location data, device contacts, or payment information. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS; the privacy policy also describes encryption for database storage and uploaded images. Users can request account deletion in the app, with account information and service usage records deleted within 30 days. Registration is limited to people aged 14 and over. Support is available in-app and by email, with a stated response time of 1–2 business days.

Pricing

Bulsee has a Free plan at 0.00 USD per free. It is a low-commitment starting point for organizers who want to bring attendance and group management together. No seat or usage caps are stated, so there is no published limit to weigh against the plan’s price; groups should judge the fit by the features they need, especially since family notifications are absent.

Platforms

Bulsee is available on Android, iOS, and the web, giving members mobile access and organizers a browser option. Its mixed attendance capture supports both self-service check-ins and organizer-entered attendance.

Who it's for

Bulsee is best for organizers of recurring classes, clubs, study groups, workplace circles, or fitness groups who need attendance records alongside event administration and member communication. It is less suitable for organizations whose central requirement is family notifications, or for groups that want only a basic attendance register.

Pros and cons

Pros: One-tap and QR check-ins, plus organizer-entered attendance, suit groups with different check-in habits.
Pros: Attendance reports, absence and tardiness tracking, and automated alerts support follow-up beyond a session’s headcount.
Pros: Member roles, event management, group communication, and activity features put several recurring group tasks in one service.
Cons: Family notifications are absent, limiting its usefulness for groups that need to update families.
Cons: The breadth of community and activity features may be more than a group seeking only sign-in and attendance records needs.

Verdict

Choose Bulsee if you run an active, recurring group and want attendance, event administration, and member communication in one free service. Its strongest reason to choose it is that combination; look elsewhere if family notifications are essential or you need only a focused attendance tool.
