Overview

Enter a business name and keywords to generate logo ideas, then adjust colors, fonts, layout, spacing, shapes, gradients, and curved text. BrandCrowd says its library has more than 455,000 designs, giving users substantial variety to explore. The catch is that free access applies only to selected logos, while the broader library also includes premium designs; a particular free option may not suit every business.

Beyond logos, BrandCrowd offers matching business cards, social media designs, letterheads, email signatures, and websites. Its AI-powered creation uses its design library, fonts, and editing tools to generate tailored concepts. BrandCrowd also says it manually checks published logos for intellectual-property issues to help reduce trademark risk. That may offer a useful safeguard, but it is not a guarantee against disputes or a promise that a design can be registered.

Key features

Logo editing and exports: Users can refine the design and download high-resolution PNG and JPG files or vector SVG, EPS, and PDF files. That range suits both common image use and workflows that need scalable artwork.
Free designs and commercial use: Selected free logos can be edited and downloaded in all five formats. BrandCrowd says these logos carry a worldwide, irrevocable license for commercial and non-commercial use, making them a practical option when an appropriate free design is available.
Branding tools: Matching materials let users extend a visual identity beyond the logo, though the appeal depends on whether they need those additional designs.
Support and privacy: BrandCrowd advertises 24/7 support by live chat and email. Its privacy notice says cookies and similar technologies may process personal data including IP addresses, identifiers, navigation data, and geolocation data.

Pricing

BrandCrowd uses a freemium model. The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes selected free logos with free editing and downloads. It is the budget-conscious choice, but the selection restriction means it does not unlock the entire design library.

Paid plans start at $3/mo (annual). The listed monthly options are Starter at 9.00 USD per month, Value at 14.00 USD per month, and Premium at 19.00 USD per month, each billed monthly. All three include unlimited logo edits, high-resolution and vector downloads, commercial use, and 50+ branding and design tools. Those shared inclusions make the paid tiers relevant to users who need broader access and ongoing editing; the plan descriptions give no feature distinction among the three, so the listed prices alone do not establish which tier is best for a particular user.

Who it's for

Small businesses and entrepreneurs that want to generate a logo, customize it, and export vector files should consider BrandCrowd, especially if matching business and social media designs are useful. It is less suitable for someone who needs a specific design from the full library at no cost, or who wants to choose among paid tiers based on clearly differentiated features.

Pros and cons

Pros: Selected free logos include editing, five download formats, and a stated commercial-use license, allowing some users to create and use a logo without paying.
Pros: Extensive customization, vector exports, and matching brand materials support work beyond a basic image logo.
Cons: Free access is limited to selected designs, so users may need a paid plan to use a preferred logo.
Cons: Starter, Value, and Premium share the same stated inclusions, leaving the reason to pay more between those monthly tiers unclear.

Alternatives

Wix Logo Maker is worth considering if mobile apps matter: it supports Android, iOS, and web, and its free plan includes 120 AI credits per month, capped at 30 per day, for up to 20 logos (estimate). By contrast, BrandCrowd's free offer centers on selected logos and includes PNG, JPG, SVG, EPS, and PDF downloads.

Design.com may suit users seeking a free web-based option with AI logo generation, full customization, a brand kit, high-resolution PNG and JPG, vector files, and commercial-use rights.

Logo Diffusion is an alternative for users willing to work within a credit-based free tier: it provides 24 credits per month, about 12 logos, one concurrent generation, watermarked 512x512 downloads, and no commercial rights. BrandCrowd's selected free logos include commercial rights and vector formats.

SologoAI is another web-based freemium option, with a one-time allocation of 10 Sologo credits for new accounts; name-to-logo and brand-kit generation use no credits.

LOGO.com offers a free web plan with one logo, PNG-only output, and 100 MB of media storage; consider it if that narrower export and storage package fits your needs.

Zoviz is an alternative spanning web, mobile, API, and desktop platforms.

Brandmark offers a one-time Basic purchase at 35.00 USD per month for PNG and vector logo files, or a Designer option at 95.00 USD per month with source files and unlimited design variations.

Looka is another web-based freemium logo and brand-kit option.

Verdict

BrandCrowd is a strong fit for small businesses and entrepreneurs who want a customizable logo, usable vector exports, and matching brand materials in one web service. Its main advantage is the combination of broad editing controls and selected free designs with stated commercial rights. Look elsewhere if you need guaranteed access to a particular design without paying, or if you want a paid tier with a clearly explained advantage over the cheaper options.
