Overview

Bito brings AI code review into developers’ IDEs and adds an AI Architect that maps software systems for coding agents. It suits teams that want codebase-aware reviews alongside agent context, particularly those working across multiple code hosts or deployment environments. Its per-seat plans include a defined monthly line allowance, so teams should weigh that quota and the fair-use terms against their review volume.

Key features

IDE-based reviews: AI reviews run in VS Code, JetBrains IDEs, Cursor, and Windsurf. Line-level feedback, selectable scope, Essential and Comprehensive modes, and one-click fixes give reviewers several ways to focus on changes; this is a strong fit for teams that want review inside their existing editor.
Codebase context: Bito says reviews can analyze changes with codebase awareness. Its separate AI Architect maintains a live graph of APIs, modules, and dependencies for coding agents, making it the more distinctive choice for teams also seeking structured system context.
Code-host and workflow connections: AI Code Reviews supports GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket, including self-managed versions on Team. The plans page also lists Jira, Confluence, Google Docs, Slack, Linear, and MCP for agents including Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex.
Language and access: Bito states support for 30+ programming languages and 20+ spoken languages. The CLI runs on macOS, Linux, and Windows.
Security and support: Bito says it does not store code on its servers or use code for model training, and that server interactions use HTTPS encryption in transit. It states SOC 2 compliance. Team lists a 24-hour response on business days; Professional lists a 24-hour response every day.

Pricing

Bito has a free plan and a 14-day trial. Paid AI Code Reviews plans include 5K lines per seat each month; additional usage costs $5 per 1K lines, and fair-use limits also apply. The allowance makes the monthly cost easier to budget, but frequent reviewers should account for overages.

Team, annual: 12.00 USD per year, billed $12 monthly per seat, billed annually. It includes the 5K-line monthly allowance and $5 per additional 1K lines. This is the lowest-cost paid option for teams whose usage fits the quota; self-managed code-host support is included.
Team, monthly: 15.00 USD per month, billed monthly per seat. It has the same line allowance and overage rate as annual Team, with a higher monthly price in exchange for monthly billing.
Professional, annual: 20.00 USD per year, billed $20 monthly per seat, billed annually. The same allowance and additional-line rate apply. It costs more than Team; Professional lists a 24-hour support response every day.
Professional, monthly: 25.00 USD per month, billed monthly per seat, with the same line terms. It is the higher-priced monthly option for buyers choosing Professional.
AI Architect Professional: Custom pricing for Bito-hosted cloud with standard support.
AI Architect Enterprise: Custom pricing for on-premises or self-hosted deployment, SSO and SAML, and custom contract redlines.
AI Code Reviews Enterprise: Custom pricing, custom usage limits, hosted, self-hosted, or on-premises deployment, and multi-organization support.

The published per-seat prices describe the recurring billing terms; the annual options are billed annually.

Platforms

Bito is available as an extension, on Linux, macOS, Windows, and the web, with cloud and self-hosted deployment options. That breadth suits teams with mixed environments, while on-premises deployment is offered on the Enterprise plans described above.

Who it's for

Bito is aimed at solo developers through enterprise teams. Team is the practical starting point for groups that need IDE reviews and Git-host integrations, including self-managed hosts, while Professional suits buyers who place value on its daily support response. Teams wanting agent-oriented system mapping can consider AI Architect; organizations requiring SSO and SAML or multi-org controls have an Enterprise option. A solo developer or small team with light needs may prefer to begin on the free plan, but should check its usage limits before relying on it.

Pros and cons

Pros

Reviews inside four named IDEs combine codebase-aware analysis, adjustable scope, and one-click fixes.
AI Architect’s live graph of APIs, modules, and dependencies adds a system-mapping capability for coding agents.
Self-managed GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket are supported on Team, and enterprise deployment options include self-hosting and on-premises.
Plans state a per-seat review allowance and an additional-line rate, helping teams estimate usage costs.

Cons

The 5K-line monthly allowance is per seat, and extra lines cost $5 per 1K; heavier review workloads can raise the bill.
AI Architect and Enterprise pricing is custom, so those options lack a published per-seat starting price.
Professional costs more than Team, while the stated difference in the plan details is its daily rather than business-day support response.

Alternatives

Consider CodeRabbit if you want an alternative with a free plan that includes reviews forever for public repositories. Review Board is a reasonable alternative when open-source software under the MIT license and a free Community plan are priorities. Gitar may suit an eligible open-source project seeking its no-cost plan for public GitHub or GitLab repositories with an OSI-approved license. Graphite is another freemium code-review option. Greptile offers a free Starter plan with 50 credits monthly, one active developer, and unlimited repositories. LiveReview and Octopus are also freemium alternatives. P4 Code Review offers a free plan for up to five users and 20 workspaces, with a monthly Cloud plan for larger teams.

Verdict

Bito is a strong fit for development teams that want AI reviews in their IDE and an optional live system graph for coding agents, with self-managed and enterprise deployment choices. Its clearest trade-off is usage: the paid review allowance is capped per seat, extra lines cost more, and the free-plan limits are unclear. Choose Bito when those review and agent workflows matter; look elsewhere if you need predictable high-volume review without per-line charges.
