Overview

Vtiger CRM is a customer management platform that brings sales, marketing and support work into a shared system. It suits teams that need coordinated customer records alongside sales and automation tools, especially those starting with a modest user count. Its broad feature set and free tier are appealing, but record and email caps make the cost of growth worth considering early.

Built around an open-source core, Vtiger also offers 24x7 live chat support and connections to more than 500 apps, including Mailchimp, Microsoft Outlook, Google, QuickBooks, Xero and Zapier. The company says it complies with GDPR, ISO and other standards.

Key features

Shared customer context: Sales, marketing and support teams can work from shared customer data and interactions. That is useful when several teams serve the same accounts, though the listed features do not establish how customizable those shared workflows are.
Sales management: A visual pipeline, lead scoring and sales forecasting cover core sales work beyond contact storage.
Automation and email: Marketing automation, email marketing and workflow automation support outreach and recurring processes. Email sync is available, but monthly sending allowances vary by plan and can constrain high-volume campaigns.
More room without a plan jump: Booster Packs can increase feature limits, and existing plans can be upgraded or downgraded at any point. Standard and Single App licenses are also offered to optimize subscription costs, giving buyers options beyond a single license type.

Vtiger says it has more than 20 years of CRM innovation, is trusted by more than 400,000 businesses worldwide and has appeared in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Sales Force Automation seven times in a row.

Pricing

Vtiger uses a freemium model. Annual billing can save up to 34%, and local taxes are charged in addition to listed prices. Paid prices below are per user per month, billed annually, and use Standard User pricing.

One Pilot: Free forever for up to 10 users and 3,000 records, with 1,000 emails per month and 3 GB of storage. It is a useful way for a small team to start, but the record and email ceilings can become operational limits as the customer base or campaign volume grows.
One Growth: $12.00 USD per month, billed annually, per user. It raises capacity to 15 users and 100,000 records, with 5,000 emails per month or 500 per user. This is the entry paid tier for a growing team, but its seat cap and email quota still need monitoring.
One Professional: $30.00 USD per month, billed annually, per user. It allows unlimited users and records, with 20,000 emails per month or 2,000 per user. It fits teams that have outgrown Growth’s caps, although email remains limited.
One Enterprise: $42.00 USD per month, billed annually, per user, with unlimited users and records. Choose it when the lower plan’s limits are insufficient, while recognizing those listed capacity limits do not extend to an email allowance.
One AI: $50.00 USD per month, billed annually, per user, with unlimited users and records. It is the highest-priced listed tier and is the direct fit for buyers seeking the AI plan; its listed plan details otherwise specify the same user and record limits as Enterprise.

A free trial provides access to core features without requiring a credit card. Review the annual commitment and local taxes when comparing paid plans.

Platforms

Mobile applications are available for Android and iOS. That gives teams mobile access on the two major mobile platforms, while the listed platform support does not establish desktop app availability.

Who it's for

Vtiger is a strong fit for businesses whose sales, marketing and support teams need to share customer interactions, and for smaller groups that want to begin on a free tier. It is less compelling for teams likely to exceed Growth’s 15-user cap or whose email volume will outstrip the available monthly quotas; Professional and higher remove user and record limits but retain plan-specific considerations.

Pros and cons

Pro: Shared customer records across sales, marketing and support can reduce fragmented customer context.
Pro: The free plan accommodates up to 10 users, with 3,000 records and 3 GB storage, giving small teams room to start without a subscription charge.
Pro: Connections to more than 500 apps, plus Booster Packs and upgrade or downgrade flexibility, create several ways to fit the system to changing needs.
Con: Free email is capped at 1,000 monthly messages, and Growth at 5,000 monthly or 500 per user; teams sending more will need to plan around higher-tier allowances.
Con: Growth stops at 15 users, while unlimited users and records begin at the $30.00 USD per month annual Professional tier.
Con: Listed paid rates are annual-billing prices and local taxes are additional, so they are not a complete view of a buyer’s final cost.

Verdict

Choose Vtiger if your organization needs sales, marketing and support teams to work from shared customer data, and values integrated sales tools, automation and broad app connections. The free tier makes it a practical starting point for small teams, but tight email caps and Growth’s 15-user ceiling are clear reasons to compare costs before committing to expansion.
