Overview

Eventbrite is an event publishing, promotion and ticketing service for organizers who want to bring discovery, registration and attendee management together. Its free publishing makes it especially attractive for events that do not charge admission; paid events need to weigh per-ticket and per-order fees.

It serves events from classes to concerts and festivals, with a separate attendee app for finding events and accessing tickets. Organizers get promotion tools, reporting and mobile check-in support alongside event pages and ticket sales.

Key features

Publishing and promotion

Event pages combine event information with ticket sales. Organizers can seek marketplace visibility, send email campaigns, use Facebook and Instagram ad tools, distribute promo codes and work with smart audiences, then review results through reporting. AI event creation is also among its ticketing tools. Advanced form customization is useful for registrations that need more than a basic signup, though no specific form fields or workflow limits are given.

Attendee access and on-site operations

The attendee app supports discovery, registration and ticket access on iPhone and Android. The organizer app runs on iOS and Android and supports QR ticket scanning, attendee check-in and on-site ticket sales. Check-in and badge printing extend the service beyond online checkout, making it more practical for organizers managing entry at the venue.

Integrations, security and support

The app marketplace lists more than 100 apps, and Eventbrite documents integrations with Mailchimp and Zoom. Zoom is a narrower fit: its integration requires an online, non-recurring event and does not support government Zoom accounts. Eventbrite states that it complies with PCI DSS 4.0.1 Level 1 as both merchant and service provider; organizers can also enable authenticator-app multi-factor authentication. Support includes a Help Center and email, with 24/7 chat support for paid events.

Pricing

Free publishing

Free Event Publishing costs 0.00 USD per free. It allows unlimited event publishing, and free tickets carry no ticketing fees; free events can be any size. This is the clearest fit for organizers running no-cost events, since it avoids the paid-ticket charges that define the economics of selling admission.

Paid ticketing and subscriptions

Paid ticketing has no listed subscription price; US fees are 3.7% plus $1.79 per paid ticket, alongside 2.9% per order for payment processing. Free tickets have no fees. Buyers pay by default, but organizers can absorb the charges instead, which changes whether the cost is passed on at checkout or comes out of event revenue.

Eventbrite Premium costs 69.00 USD per month, billed at $69 per month or $708 per year (save $120). It is optional, includes up to 2,000 marketing emails per day and $20/month in EB Ads credits, and varies in availability by country. It suits organizers who can use those promotion allowances; the daily email limit and country availability matter before committing.

Eventbrite Pro starts at 15.00 USD per month, but is no longer available to new subscribers. Existing subscribers retain their plan and email limits, and the pricing page describes up to 10,000 daily marketing emails. New organizers therefore cannot choose Pro as a lower-cost entry to the subscription plans.

Platforms

Eventbrite is available on web, Android, iOS and API. The attendee and organizer apps cover mobile ticket access and on-site operations; API availability gives it a route for integrations beyond the mobile apps.

Who it's for

Eventbrite suits organizers who want event promotion, ticket sales and check-in in one service, especially those publishing free events or running paid events where marketplace visibility and attendee access matter. It is less compelling for organizers whose priority is avoiding per-ticket charges on paid events, or who need Premium in a country where it is unavailable.

Pros and cons

Pro: Unlimited free event publishing, any-size free events and no fees on free tickets make it workable for free admission at different scales.
Pro: Marketplace visibility, campaign tools, promo codes and reporting connect promotion with event sales and results.
Pro: QR scanning, check-in, on-site sales and badge printing support venue operations as well as online registration.
Con: Paid US tickets incur both a per-ticket service fee and a per-order processing fee, which organizers must budget for or pass to buyers.
Con: Pro is closed to new subscribers, while Premium costs $69 per month and is not available in every country.
Con: The Zoom integration excludes recurring events and government Zoom accounts, limiting its fit for some online programs.

Verdict
