Overview

The free tracker allows unlimited habits, progress tracking, community participation, reminders, and step-by-step plans. Weekly and monthly trends give users a way to spot patterns, while community Q&A and encouragement can add accountability without paying for coaching. That makes Coach.me a useful starting point for routine-building, provided users are comfortable with the social side of the service.

Key features

Tracking and coaching

Custom reminders, habit templates, and progress trends support ongoing tracking. Users can browse coaches by specialty and reviews or use CoachMatch to be paired according to goals, personality, and preferred coaching style. Paid Habit Coaching adds daily support through private in-app chat. The range is appealing for people who want more than a tracker, though the coaching tiers are a substantial step up from free self-guided use.

Privacy and support

Setting a goal to private hides its check-ins and notes from the profile, but posts in that goal’s Q&A remain public. Coach.me has no private-profile setting or app lock, so it is not a strong choice for users who need their activity concealed from others using their phone or viewing their profile. Chats are private between the user and coach, although anonymized transcripts may be reviewed by staff to evaluate coaches for certification. The service says it removes user data when an account is deleted and uses reasonable protective measures, including encryption, while acknowledging it cannot guarantee security. A searchable help center and an email contact in the getting-started guide provide support routes.

Pricing

The free Habit Tracker / Self-coaching with Community Support plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes unlimited habits, community Q&A, and props. It is the natural choice for people who want habit accountability without a coach, but its community-based support is not the daily individual guidance of the paid tier.

Habit Coaching costs 87.00 USD per month, billed $87/month, for daily coaching via private chat. Each coach is priced separately, so this tier suits users who value regular personal support and should compare coach options before committing. Leadership Coaching costs 150.00 USD per month, billed $150/month, and includes twice-monthly live lessons, a peer lab, and weekly leadership lessons; it is aimed at leadership development rather than basic habit tracking.

Phone consultations are a one-time charge with rates varying by coach. Custom Individual & Group Coaching has rates set by individual coaches, with pricing shown on each coach’s profile. The Self-coaching with Community Support plan is also offered without a listed price; its stated inclusions are habit tracking, community Q&A, props, and encouragement.

Platforms

Coach.me is available on web, iOS, and Android. Its habit-tracking page also lists an iPhone Today widget and Apple Watch check-ins and reminders, useful for people who want to interact with habits from Apple devices.

Who it's for

Coach.me is best for individuals who want an unlimited free habit tracker and are open to community encouragement, or for users willing to pay for ongoing coach contact. Its offerings also address entrepreneurs, coaches, teams, and leaders. People managing sensitive goals should look elsewhere if private profiles or app-level locking are essential.

Pros and cons

Pros: Unlimited habits and community features on the free plan make it practical to begin without paying for a coach.
Pros: Coach browsing and CoachMatch offer two ways to seek a coach suited to a user’s goals and preferred style.
Pros: Web, iOS, and Android support, plus an iPhone Today widget and Apple Watch check-ins and reminders, provide several ways to keep tracking close at hand.
Cons: Private goals still have public Q&A posts, and there is no private-profile or app-lock option.
Cons: Habit Coaching costs 87.00 USD per month and each coach is priced separately, making daily personal support much costlier than the free tracker.

Alternatives

For a broader range of coaching tools, compare Coaching Software; for a tracker-first shortlist, see Habit Tracker Apps.

My PT Hub is a freemium web, iOS, and Android option with a free trial but no free plan; its Starter plan is 22.50 USD per month, billed annually and paid monthly, for 3 clients, 50 workouts, 50 nutrition plans, and payment processing. Choose it if trainer-client programming and those caps suit better than Coach.me’s habit-centered approach.

Traneos has a free plan for up to 5 clients with basic client and progress tracking, in-app reminders, and a 14-day Pro trial, alongside a free trial. It is a better fit for coach workflows centered on a small client roster.

ABC Trainerize offers a free plan with one coaching client and one client seat, plus a free trial. Choose it when a single client seat is the needed starting point.

FitSW offers a free plan and a Premium for Trainers plan at 16.66 USD per month, billed monthly, with selectable client limits from 5 to 1000 and fitness program creation, automation, and client exercise progress tracking. It is a stronger match for trainers who need fitness programming and adjustable client capacity.

Helms has a free plan for up to 7 clients, with training, nutrition, check-ins, and progress, on iOS and web. It may suit coaches who need those client-management basics on a free tier.

Faronto offers a web-only free plan for 2 active clients, with a goal-first client portal and client actions and progress context. It suits users who want a small client portal rather than a personal habit tracker.

Everfit has a forever-free Starter plan for up to 5 clients and a Pro plan at 16.00 USD per month, billed monthly, with pricing varying by client count. It is worth considering when coaching up to five clients on a free tier is the priority.

Exercise.com Websites is a paid web, iOS, and Android option.

Verdict

Choose Coach.me if you want a free unlimited habit tracker with community encouragement and the option to add daily coach support. The combination of tracking and coaching is its clearest strength; the public Q&A, absent profile privacy and app lock, and separate paid coaching costs are strong reasons to look elsewhere when discretion or lower-cost personal guidance matters most.
