Overview

Apollo’s Templates is a free library of editable printables and simple browser-based design makers. It suits people who need a document or small printed design without subscribing to a design service. Its strongest case is breadth without signup; its boundaries on redistribution and healthcare use matter for business buyers.

The library spans more than 1,800 files in 16 categories, from resumes and calendars to invitations, business cards, legal forms, and gift certificates. Downloads include PDF, Word, and PowerPoint files, with Google Docs versions for resumes.

Key features

Editable files and local makers

Files can be edited before printing, and resume templates can be copied into a user’s Google Drive with a one-click Google Docs option. The browser-based makers cover monograms, including four-letter, interlocking, wedding, and split-letter variations. They generate print-ready files and run locally in the browser, making them a focused choice for basic print needs rather than a general-purpose design studio.

Privacy, security, and usage

Apollo says information entered into fillable PDFs and local Word or PowerPoint files stays on the user’s device. It also says its generators run locally. The site uses Google Analytics 4 for aggregate traffic measurement and offers an opt-out browser add-on. It uses HTTPS and describes administrative and technical safeguards, but does not promise absolute security.

Commercial use is allowed, including use on items a user sells, but the terms prohibit reselling or redistributing templates as standalone products or collections. That makes the library useful for ordinary small-business work, not for packaging its files as a product. Healthcare organisations should not use the templates as a compliance shortcut: Apollo is not a HIPAA Business Associate, will not enter a Business Associate Agreement, and says the templates do not make an organisation HIPAA-compliant.

Users can contact the maker with questions, requests, or bug reports; it says it reads every message.

Pricing

Apollo’s Templates has one free plan: 0.00 USD per free. It includes the templates and generators, print-ready exports, and multiple download formats, with no account, payment, or watermark. There is no free trial because access is free. The lack of a paid tier keeps the choice simple, but there are no published paid options for users seeking additional services or broader redistribution rights.

The free access supports personal, educational, and routine small-business use. Commercial permission does not override the ban on selling or redistributing the templates themselves as standalone files or collections.

Platforms

Apollo’s Templates is available on the web, Linux, macOS, and Windows. Its browser-based makers and downloadable document formats make it suited to users who want to create or edit files locally rather than rely on an account-based workflow.

Who it's for

This is a practical fit for people who need printable materials quickly: job seekers working on resumes, educators or families preparing simple projects, and small businesses producing routine materials. The no-account downloads and range of file formats reduce friction for occasional use. It is a poor fit for healthcare organisations seeking HIPAA arrangements, or for anyone whose business model depends on reselling template files.

Pros and cons

Pros: More than 1,800 files across 16 categories give users a broad starting point for common print jobs.
Pros: Free downloads require no signup and carry no watermark, useful for occasional users who want to avoid a subscription.
Pros: PDF, Word, and PowerPoint support, plus Google Docs resume copies, offer several routes to editing.
Pros: Local browser makers and stated on-device handling of entered file information suit users who prefer not to send that content to a remote editor.
Cons: The standalone resale and redistribution ban limits how commercial users can package or share the templates.
Cons: Apollo will not sign a Business Associate Agreement, so the templates are not a solution for HIPAA-regulated workflows.
Cons: The makers focus on monogram designs, so users looking for a wider design-editor workflow should consider another tool.

Alternatives

Print Design Template Libraries is a useful next stop for comparing template-focused options. Choose FotoJet instead if a free online collage maker and basic editing tools are the priority; its paid Plus plan is 6.99 USD per month. Canva is another option for a core design editor and content library, with a one-person free plan billed at ₹ 0 /year. For social publishing, PosterMyWall offers free downloads, more than 1M design and email templates, and publishing on one social media account.

PublishMedia may suit users who mainly need to open and view Publisher or Office files: its free starter plan stores files for seven days, but editing and export are unavailable. Visme is an alternative with a free Basic plan that includes 500MB storage and 50 slides or pages per project. For video-oriented template work, Adobe Express Video offers a free plan with 155,000+ templates, 25 generative credits per month, and 5 GB storage. Design.com is worth considering when logo creation and vector-file downloads are the focus; its free plan includes commercial use rights. Desygner is a better fit for teams seeking project and storage allowances, with its free plan covering three users, 100 projects, and 5GB storage.

Verdict

Apollo’s Templates is an easy recommendation for people who need a wide selection of editable printables at no cost and do not want to create an account. Its main advantage is straightforward access to varied files and focused local makers; choose another service for broader design workflows, and do not rely on it for HIPAA compliance or template redistribution.
