Overview

The product combines CRM, helpdesk, website live chat, task and project management, a knowledge base, a forum, email, and VoIP. That range can suit a small operation handling customer relationships and support alongside internal follow-up; teams seeking a dedicated tool for only one of those jobs may prefer a narrower fit.

The CRM covers customer profiles, interaction history, recurring reminders, grouping, reporting, and deal tracking. The helpdesk brings email, phone calls, and other messages into a unified inbox, with ticket assignment and canned responses. Website chat is embedded with a code snippet and adds real-time visitor viewing, push notifications, and offline messages. Teams can assign tasks, organize them into projects and subprojects, and track completion time.

Key features

Customer records and deals: Profiles, interaction history, reminders, grouping, reporting, and deal tracking give teams a shared view of customer activity and follow-up.
Support inbox: Combining email, phone calls, and other messages with ticket assignment helps organize incoming work; canned responses are useful for recurring replies.
Website chat: Visitor viewing and push notifications support live conversations, while offline messages provide a route for visitors who arrive when staff are unavailable.
Task and project tracking: Projects and subprojects can group assigned tasks, and completion-time tracking adds a way to monitor work.
Connections: Sugester lists integrations with Shopify, WooCommerce, Gmail, Mailgun, Plivo, WordPress, eBay, GitHub, Dropbox, and Mailchimp, and links to API documentation.

Pricing

Sugester has a free plan, paid monthly plans, and a free 30-day trial that requires no credit card. The pricing page also describes the free tier as a free-forever plan. Paid prices below are per month, billed monthly.

Plan	Price	Limits
Free	0.00 USD per free	3 users, 100 monthly email sends, 100 clients/email lists, 2 email boxes, 3 projects, 1 GB storage
Start	12.00 USD per month	3 users, 1,000 monthly email sends, 1,000 clients/email lists, 3 email boxes, 5 projects, 5 GB storage
Pro	12.00 USD per month	5 users, 1,000 monthly email sends per agent, 1,000 clients/email lists, 10 email boxes, 30 projects, 5 GB storage per agent
Max	25.00 USD per month	Unlimited users, 5,000 monthly email sends per agent, 20,000 clients/email lists, 30 email boxes, 5 live chats, 10 GB storage per agent
Enterprise	50.00 USD per month	Unlimited users, 10,000 monthly email sends per agent, 100,000 clients/email lists, unlimited email boxes and live chats, 30 GB storage per agent

Free is a workable starting point for up to three users, but its 100-send email quota, 100-client cap, and 1 GB storage leave little room for a growing operation. Start raises the shared email and client quotas to 1,000 but keeps the three-user ceiling. Pro costs the same listed monthly price while allowing five users, ten email boxes, and 30 projects; its send and storage allowances are per agent rather than shared. Teams that need unlimited users can move to Max, which also raises client capacity and adds five live chats. Enterprise raises the email, client, and storage allowances further and removes the email-box and live-chat caps.

Support is offered through live chat, phone, or email. Self-hosting is available by inquiry, but requires a server with at least 8 GB RAM, Ubuntu Server, nginx, and MySQL, making it a more involved choice than the browser-based cloud app.

Platforms

Sugester is available on the web, Android, and iOS, with API and self-hosted options. Its cloud app runs in a browser without installation or setup. The self-hosted deployment offers another route, but its stated server and software requirements make it better suited to teams equipped to manage that environment.

Who it's for

Sugester is strongest for small teams that want customer management, multichannel support, website chat, and project coordination in one product and can work within the plan quotas. Start keeps the team small, while Pro offers more seats and project capacity at the same listed monthly price. Larger teams have room to scale on Max or Enterprise, though their email, client, and storage needs should be checked against the per-agent and account-wide caps.

It is a weaker fit for organizations that need extensive capacity on a free plan, or that want a narrowly focused CRM or helpdesk without adjacent project and community features.

Pros and cons

Pros: One suite spans CRM, support, chat, and project work, which can keep customer follow-up and team tasks together.
Pros: Pro offers five users, ten email boxes, and 30 projects for the same listed monthly price as Start, which is capped at three users and five projects.
Pros: A browser-based cloud option, mobile platforms, and self-hosting give teams different ways to access or deploy the product.
Cons: The free plan's 100 monthly email sends, 100 clients/email lists, and 1 GB storage constrain even a small team's room to grow.
Cons: Self-hosting requires specific server capacity and software, so it is not a turnkey alternative to the cloud version.
Cons: The plans impose different account-wide and per-agent caps, which can make capacity planning less straightforward as teams grow.

Discourse is a freemium, self-hosted option with an open-source codebase, making it a relevant alternative for teams prioritizing open-source community software.

Verdict

Choose Sugester if a small or growing team wants customer tracking, support channels, chat, and project work in one suite, and its plan caps fit the workload. Its breadth is the main reason to choose it; the quotas on the entry tiers and the requirements for self-hosting are the reasons to look elsewhere.
