Overview

Solvely is an AI study suite for learners who want homework help alongside tools for revision and lecture notes. It is a strong fit for students working from a mix of questions and course materials, but its AI answers need checking.

Rather than focusing on one study task, Solvely combines problem explanations, exam preparation, course-material conversion and lecture capture. That breadth is its main advantage; the trade-off is that learners should treat generated answers and study aids as support, not as authoritative course guidance.

Key features

Homework help and explanations

Students can submit typed questions, photos or PDFs and get worked, step-by-step solutions across subjects. The solver cross-checks answers with multiple AI models, and visual or video explanations cover topics such as 3D geometry, calculus graphs and physics simulations. Those features can help learners follow a method, not just see an answer. But model cross-checking does not guarantee correctness: Solvely advises users to verify outputs and does not guarantee their accuracy, completeness or suitability.

Exam preparation and study materials

Uploading notes or past exams can produce likely-topic predictions, mock exams, cheat sheets and review plans. Slides, PDFs and YouTube links can be turned into topic breakdowns, study guides, flashcards and adaptive quizzes. This gives students several ways to turn existing class materials into practice, though predicted topics should not replace course instructions or a learner’s own judgment about what to study.

Lecture notes and mobile study

Live recording creates searchable transcripts, AI-generated notes and study sets from lectures. The Android and iOS apps scan math, physics and chemistry problems and explain college math questions. This makes Solvely more useful for learners moving between class notes and individual questions than a solver limited to typed prompts.

Browser extension

The Chrome extension captures question screenshots and works on Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, Google Classroom and other websites. It is free to install, but some features or higher usage limits may depend on the account or plan. Learners who need dependable access to a particular extension feature should confirm its limits before relying on it. Solvely states that it offers 24/7 support for the extension.

Pricing

Solvely has a free plan and a free trial. The paid Unlimited plans advertise unlimited models and features, with different billing periods:

Plan	Price and terms	Best fit
Solvely Unlimited — 12 months	4.83 USD per year (billed $57.99/year; 3-day free trial; cancel anytime)	Students prepared to commit for a year; the trial gives a short period to assess the service first.
Solvely Unlimited — 1 month	8.99 USD per month (billed $8.99 monthly)	Those who want a shorter commitment or need the tools for a limited period.
Solvely Unlimited — 3 months	11.66 USD per month (billed $34.99 every 3 months)	Those who prefer quarterly billing over a year-long commitment.

The annual plan has the lowest stated monthly equivalent but requires a yearly billing commitment; the monthly plan avoids that longer term. The free plan is a way to start without a listed charge, while extension usage may still depend on account or plan. Solvely.AI NPro-Weekly, Solvely.AI Pro-Monthly and Solvely All Year Access have custom pricing.

Platforms

Solvely supports Android, iOS, web and a browser extension. Mobile scanning is aimed at math, physics and chemistry questions, while the extension captures questions from learning-management and classroom sites. This gives students options across phone and browser-based study, though extension feature access can depend on the plan.

Who it's for

Solvely suits post-secondary learners, college-bound students and professionals who want one service for worked solutions, revision materials and lecture capture. Solvely says it does not offer services directed at children under 13. Its broad set of inputs is useful for students already working with PDFs, slides, videos or recorded lectures; it is less suitable for anyone who needs guaranteed correctness or plans to rely on predicted exam topics without verification.

Solvely says more than 10 million students from over 5,000 universities worldwide use it. Its privacy policy describes commercially reasonable safeguards and security audits for transcription data, while noting that absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Pros and cons

Pros: One service handles question solving, exam preparation, study-material conversion and lecture notes, reducing the need to switch between separate study workflows.
Pros: Photo, PDF and typed inputs, plus mobile scanning, give students several ways to bring questions and course materials into the tools.
Pros: Multiple-model cross-checking and visual explanations can support understanding, rather than limiting the solver to a bare answer.
Cons: AI output is not guaranteed accurate, complete or suitable, so students must verify solutions and generated study aids.
Cons: Some extension features or higher usage limits depend on the account or plan, which makes it important to check access before building a workflow around them.
Cons: The annual Unlimited plan bills $57.99/year despite its 4.83 USD per year displayed rate, so the term matters when comparing it with monthly billing.

Alternatives

For a directory of citation-focused tools, see AI Citation Generators. For broader homework support, browse Homework Help Software or AI Homework Helpers; for a more focused problem-solving category, see Math Solver Apps. Students comparing study suites can also browse AI Study Tools.

Choose Backrow Citation Generator instead if citation generation is the task and you want a freemium option with web, desktop and mobile platforms. PDFSimpli is another freemium choice with a broader desktop and web platform range and plans described around document edits and downloads. For citation workflows, AutoCaret Citation Generator, cc.com.ai Citation Generator, Citation Generator Canada, CitePlex, Conch AI Citation Generator and Paperpal are alternatives to compare.

Verdict

Solvely is a sensible choice for students who want homework explanations, exam practice and lecture-to-study tools in one service, especially if they use multiple kinds of course material. Its breadth is the reason to choose it; the need to verify AI outputs, alongside plan-dependent extension limits, is the reason to look elsewhere if you need dependable answers or predictable feature access.
