Overview

Vecteezy is a web-based marketplace for licensing creative assets, with an online editor and API access. It suits designers, publishers and teams that need a broad stock library, particularly when commercial use matters. The key trade-off is a five-download monthly free allowance against Pro’s unlimited downloads and broader rights.

Key features

The marketplace spans stock photos, vectors and footage, with illustration, editorial and template assets too. Vecteezy adds thousands of resources each day; Pro opens a library of more than 60 million images, videos and other assets. That range can cover varied content needs, while the free limit is better suited to occasional sourcing than regular production.

Pro subscriptions include unlimited photo, vector and 4K video downloads, full commercial rights and no attribution requirement. Licensed content is royalty free. Pro files carry $10,000 in legal protection, and the plan includes priority support. The 30-day money-back guarantee applies only if fewer than three Pro files have been downloaded, so it is a limited safeguard rather than a risk-free month of use.

The online editor keeps asset work in Vecteezy’s web service, while API access can support other workflows. Vecteezy states that it is SOC 2 compliant. Teams can add seats, invite members, assign roles and limit billing access to admins; Teams also include priority support and dedicated account management. Enterprise adds Single Sign-On/SAML, API and DAM integration, and up to $1 million in legal protection per incident. Teams and Enterprise have no free trial, though demos are available.

Pricing

Vecteezy is freemium, with a free plan and a 7-day trial. Free resources require attribution, and the free tier includes ads and other limitations; its five monthly downloads make it a poor fit for ongoing asset needs. Pro removes attribution for commercial use and allows unlimited downloads, but the subscription prices are custom pricing.

The paid options include Image Only, with five image downloads and one bundle; Video Only, with five video downloads and one bundle; and Unlimited All Access, with unlimited downloads and one bundle. There are also 1-, 5- and 10-download credit options. These choices distinguish limited, media-specific purchasing from an all-access subscription, but none has a published price. The 30-day refund condition, fewer than three Pro downloads, is worth weighing before subscribing. Subscriptions can be canceled anytime, and cancellation stops automatic renewal.

The included seat count is one. Teams can add seats and gain role and billing controls, but team and Enterprise plans require a demo rather than a free trial. Enterprise uses custom pricing.

Platforms

Vecteezy runs as a web service, with an online editor, and offers API access. The listed platforms are web and API, so it is best considered an online asset service rather than a desktop-first design tool.

Who it's for

Vecteezy is a strong fit for individual creators who routinely need stock media and can make use of Pro’s unlimited photo, vector and 4K video downloads. Teams that need seat administration, enterprise integrations or stronger legal protection should consider Teams or Enterprise, while accepting custom pricing and no trial for those plans. It is less suited to anyone who needs frequent free downloads or cannot meet attribution requirements on free resources.

Pros and cons

Pro removes two practical constraints: unlimited downloads and no-attribution commercial rights suit regular professional use.
Broad, growing catalog: more than 60 million Pro assets and thousands of daily additions cover multiple media types.
Team and enterprise controls: seat management, billing restrictions, SSO/SAML and DAM integration support larger workflows.
Free use is tightly capped: five downloads per month, attribution, ads and other limitations constrain regular work.
Price visibility is limited: plan prices are custom pricing, making cost comparison difficult before contacting Vecteezy.

Alternatives

VectorStock may suit buyers who prefer a single-vector purchase with a Pro license and no ongoing commitment: its Pay-per-Image plan is 14.99 USD per month. Blush is a free alternative for illustration browsing, with thousands of free illustrations and unlimited downloads.

DrawKit offers unlimited free content without an account on its Basic plan; its Pro plan is 79.00 USD per year. GetIllustrations is a better fit when API access is central: its free Developer API plan provides 1,500 calls per month, free assets and premium assets as watermarked previews.

Storyset is a free option for personal and commercial projects with attribution, unlimited continuous use and permission to modify. Patternbank is an alternative for pattern assets, with personal and commercial licensing options. unDraw is another illustration alternative.

For broader browsing, compare Stock Vector Libraries, Stock Photo Websites, Vector Graphics Software and Graphic Design Software.

Verdict

Choose Vecteezy if you need a broad stock library and expect to use Pro’s unlimited downloads and commercial rights regularly. Its catalog and team controls are compelling, but the free tier is restrictive and custom pricing makes the paid commitment harder to assess. If occasional use or clear upfront cost matters more, compare alternatives before choosing a plan.
