Overview

Anchor covers the path from proposals and agreements to invoicing and payment collection. E-signatures, client activity tracking and CRM integrations support the client workflow, while custom branding and analytics and reporting add tools for presenting and monitoring that work.

Its free platform access is unusually broad on the measures that matter to growing teams: users, clients, proposals, agreements and automated invoices are unlimited. But collecting a payment changes the cost equation. The separate payment plan is charged when a payment is received, so the free platform is most compelling when its payment terms suit the way you collect.

Key features

Proposals and agreements: Both plans include unlimited proposals and agreements, and built-in e-signatures support signing within the same client workflow. That makes Anchor a good fit for businesses that want to keep these steps together rather than use separate tools.
Billing and collection: Automated invoices or billing and payments are unlimited on both plans. The Payment fee plan includes free bank transfer, but costs $5 per month when a payment is received; the charge is therefore tied to collection, not simply to having platform access.
Client workflow tools: Client activity tracking and CRM integrations help connect proposals to client work, while custom branding and analytics and reporting support presentation and oversight. These broaden the platform beyond document creation alone.

Pricing

Anchor is freemium, with free platform access and a separate payment plan. The distinction is important: the free plan is not a capped trial, but the payment charge applies when money is collected through the service.

Plan	Price	What it includes
Platform access	0.00 USD per free; no subscription fee required	Unlimited users, companies and clients, proposals and agreements, automated invoices and automated payments.
Payment fee	5.00 USD per month, charged when a payment is received	All features and tools, free bank transfer, unlimited proposals and agreements, and unlimited automated billing and payments.

Platform access is the clear choice for teams that want unlimited users and client documents without a subscription fee. The Payment fee plan adds free bank transfer while retaining those unlimited workflow tools, but its payment-triggered charge is a cost to weigh before routing collections through Anchor. Neither plan shows a user or proposal quota; the main stated pricing distinction is the charge associated with receiving a payment.

Platforms

Anchor is available on web, iOS and Android, giving clients and teams options across browser and mobile platforms.

Who it's for

Choose Anchor if proposals, agreements, signatures, invoicing and payment collection belong in one client workflow, especially if unlimited users and client records matter more than a conventional per-seat plan. It is less suitable for a business that wants to avoid a charge tied to receiving payments or that needs pricing terms beyond the stated monthly payment charge.

Pros and cons

Pro: Unlimited users, clients, proposals, agreements and automated invoicing on free platform access make it practical for teams to grow without hitting those stated caps.
Pro: E-signatures, client tracking, CRM integrations, branding and reporting sit alongside billing and collection, reducing the need to split the client workflow across separate tools.
Con: Receiving a payment triggers a 5.00 USD per month charge, so the free platform does not mean payment collection has no associated fee.
Con: The pricing distinction centers on the payment charge and free bank transfer; teams seeking a different published tier structure have little choice within these plans.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison, browse Proposal Software. Consider PandaDoc if a free plan with a stated yearly 60-document allowance and two recipients per document better fits your volume. Proposal.biz is another freemium option with a free plan for readers comparing free proposal tools.

Proposal Expert suits readers who can work within a free allowance of three proposals per month, 25 AI credits and three e-signatures per month, with basic analytics and 250 MB storage. PowerPropose is worth considering if its free plan's one seat, ten active clients and ten proposals are enough, with a 30-day Standard trial included.

Choose Trumpet if its free plan of ten Pods per account and unlimited users matches your workflow. Cord offers a free plan with five active quotes, five sent quotes per month, 50 products and 50 clients, and three AI generations per month for readers whose needs fit those limits. ProposalGrid has a free allowance of five active documents, two AI proposal drafts each month and three saved blocks.

QuoteCloud is an alternative for readers comparing quote software, with a free plan limited to five quotes per month and one user.

Verdict

Anchor is a strong choice for freelancers and teams that want unlimited users and client workflow tools without a platform subscription, especially when proposals, signing and automated billing should stay together. The reason to look elsewhere is its payment-triggered 5.00 USD monthly charge: if that cost does not fit your collection workflow, compare alternatives before making Anchor the route for client payments.
