Overview

altaFlow connects the stages of a document process: it captures data, generates documents, routes them for approval and signature, then writes completed results back to business systems. Conditional logic and dynamic tables support more structured forms and documents, while approval and audit trails help organizations track the process.

The workflow model is a strong fit for repeatable, document-heavy operations. Its usage-based pricing, which scales with processed documents, means costs are tied to volume rather than the number of users. That can suit broad teams, but organizations with fluctuating or high document volumes should weigh that model against a custom-priced plan or an alternative with a different pricing structure.

Key features

Document workflows and integrations

altaFlow combines data capture, document generation, eSignatures, approvals, and automatic write-back. The homepage names Salesforce, Slack, Airtable, QuickBooks, Monday, Box, Dropbox, Excel, and Zoho among its integrations. Salesforce support is particularly useful for teams whose process begins with CRM records: it can generate documents from those records, route approvals and signatures, and return completed data to Salesforce. On Standard, however, Salesforce and other premium integrations cost extra.

Security and oversight

The maker describes AES-256 encryption at rest and in transit, SAML 2.0 single sign-on, access controls, audit logging, and backups. It lists CCPA, FERPA, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and SOC 2 Type II. These controls and stated compliance coverage make altaFlow relevant to regulated settings, though organizations should confirm that its specific configuration meets their requirements.

Pricing

Every plan includes unlimited users, and pricing scales with documents processed. That removes a per-seat constraint for larger teams, but document volume remains the central cost variable.

Free: Free, with 10 credits per month. It offers a way to start at no charge, but the small monthly allowance limits sustained use.
Growth: custom pricing, with 10.000 credits per period.
Automate 360: custom pricing, with 20.000 credits per period and 1 premium integration. It suits teams needing a larger allowance and a premium connection, though the plan still limits that inclusion to one integration.
Enterprise: custom pricing, with custom credits, all bots and integrations, custom integrations, and priority support including SLA. It is the most flexible option for organizations with tailored integration or support needs.
Standard: 1.40 USD per once, billed starting at $1.40 per document. It includes unlimited users and a mobile app; Salesforce, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and premium integrations are add-ons. The entry price is document-based, so the add-on costs matter for teams that depend on those systems.
Advanced: custom pricing, priced to volume at a custom rate. It includes unlimited users, DocX generation, Bulk Send, Autostarts, Payment Collection, and chat support. It is aimed at higher-volume workflows that need these capabilities; its custom rate makes costs dependent on a volume quote.

Standard includes knowledgebase and ticket support; Advanced adds chat support, while Enterprise includes a dedicated account manager. No renewal term is stated for the paid plans.

Platforms

altaFlow is available on web, Android, and iOS, and provides an API. Standard specifically includes a mobile app, making it a practical choice for teams that need mobile access as part of that plan.

Who it's for

The maker describes workflows for education, healthcare and insurance, legal, government, and nonprofit organizations. These sectors can benefit when forms, approvals, signatures, and record updates belong in one connected process. Teams looking mainly for general task management, rather than document generation and controlled routing, may find this focus unnecessarily narrow.

Pros and cons

Pros: It connects document creation, eSignatures, approvals, and write-back, reducing the need to treat those steps as separate stages.
Pros: Unlimited users on all plans lets teams scale participation without a stated per-seat limit.
Pros: Security controls and named compliance frameworks make it relevant to organizations with governance requirements.
Cons: Document-based pricing makes costs sensitive to usage volume rather than team size.
Cons: Salesforce and other premium integrations are add-ons on Standard, so the starting price does not cover every prominent connection.
Cons: Most plans have no stated price, making it difficult to compare likely costs before requesting a quote.

Alternatives

For a broader directory of document-focused options, see Document Workflow Software; Workflow automation tools and Deal Desk Software are useful starting points when the need is broader automation or deal management.

ClickUp is worth considering when task management is the priority: its Free Forever plan includes unlimited tasks and members, though storage is capped at 60MB and forms at one.
Pipefy may suit teams seeking a process-oriented alternative, but its Starter plan is capped at 5 processes, 10 users, and 50 cards created per month.
AI Rule Engine is an alternative for rule execution, with a free tier capped at 200 ruleset runs per month and two author seats.
Airstride may be a better fit for partner and deal management; its free plan supports up to 3 partners and includes CRM integration.
Budibase is another freemium option, with a Pro plan priced at 19.00 USD per month and including one creator and one workspace.
Dock may fit deal-desk needs, while its free plan is limited to 10 workspaces and one order form.
DUEX is an alternative to consider for deal work.
Pricekeel is another alternative for pricing work.

Verdict

Choose altaFlow when your organization needs document workflows that connect data capture, approvals, signatures, and updates to business systems, particularly where governance matters. Its unlimited-user model and integration breadth are useful strengths, but document-based charges, paid premium integrations on Standard, and custom pricing across most plans are reasons to look elsewhere if cost certainty or general-purpose task management matters more.
