TubeRipper is a free web service for downloading individual YouTube videos and converting them into files. Users paste a YouTube URL, choose MP4, WEBM, or MP3, and save the result to a device. MP4 and WEBM target offline video viewing, while MP3 conversion supports audio quality up to 320 kbps. A keyword search tool can show previews before downloading. TubeRipper says no registration, personal information, software installation, or browser extension is required. Its web app is mobile-optimized for saving files to iPhone and Android storage, and the service is also listed for PC and Mac. Downloads are unlimited, but each request handles one URL only; playlists and batch downloads are not supported. The MP4 page says conversion usually takes about 15 seconds, with longer videos taking two to three minutes. It advises lower quality on mobile when needed because large files can use substantial data.
