TripScout is a free iPhone app for creating and following day-by-day travel itineraries. Enter a destination, dates, and preferences to receive an adjustable plan with timed stops, travel times, and breaks. You can organize trips, resume drafts, and keep destinations together. The map view lays out stops and is intended to reduce travel time through route optimization. Bookmarks let you save places across cities and trips for later reference. During a journey, live view tracks progress, lets you check off stops, and guides you from one place to the next. Optional location data stays on the device for map positioning and turn-by-turn guidance. Trip details and preferences are sent to a third-party AI provider for itinerary generation; the policy says TripScout does not retain those inputs after returning the itinerary. It also says the app does not track users across apps or websites, use advertising identifiers, or share data with data brokers. The app relies on Apple Maps and third-party AI providers. TripScout is currently available on iPhone, with an Android app described as on the way. AI itineraries are suggestions and may not reflect current conditions, availability, hours, or prices; the app does not make bookings.
Who it is for
It suits iPhone travelers who want AI-assisted plans, mapped routes, bookmarks, and in-trip guidance without a subscription. Users should verify real-world conditions because itineraries are suggestions.
