Thunderstore is a mod database and API for developers to publish mods and mod managers to retrieve them. Its catalog lists over 110,000 mods across 300+ games. For supported games, Thunderstore Mod Manager installs and updates mods, manages profiles, exports profiles, downloads and installs mods directly, edits configurations and updates outdated mods. The official site directs users to download the manager for Windows. It is powered by the Overwolf Client, which is installed when the manager is downloaded. Developers can use linked API and package-format documentation, a manifest validator and a Markdown preview tool. Thunderstore has a free plan. Its privacy notice names Discord, GitHub and Overwolf as examples of authentication providers, and says associated GitHub or Discord details are not publicly exposed unless the user requests publication. Nonessential cookies are applied only with consent. Technical and usage data is retained for up to 30 days, with stated legal or claims-related exceptions. The notice identifies Riskidev Oy as data controller and names DigitalOcean, Cloudflare and GCore among its service providers.
