Sphere automates cross-border tax compliance across more than 130 jurisdictions. Its platform monitors exposure, manages tax registration, calculates tax, files returns and remits payments. Input tax tools extract VAT, GST and use tax from accounts payable and expense data, apply local deductibility rules, and net approved deductions against output tax. E-invoicing tools generate and receive compliant invoices, validate and exchange them through local channels, report where required, and archive them with audit trails. The TRAM engine researches tax law, rates and rulings; tax experts approve determinations before a deterministic engine applies them in real time. Listed integrations include Stripe, PayPal, Chargebee, QuickBooks, NetSuite and Xero, among other billing and finance tools. A RESTful API supports custom billing setups for real-time calculation, registration and filing. Starter costs $100 per region per month for fewer than 10 regions, with calculation for up to 50,000 transactions.
