What SchoolFlex is

SchoolFlex is a web-based school website platform built on WordPress and tailored to school systems. It is designed to help staff communicate with students, parents, and the wider community. The platform includes an event calendar, staff directory, and district multisite capability. Its maker describes editing as simple, the site experience as mobile-ready, and the platform as adaptable. SchoolFlex is intended for K-12 school districts, independent and private schools, and technical and trade schools. RainStorm, a web development company based in Orono, Maine, created it. The company says the product draws on more than 15 years of educational website development experience. RainStorm describes customer support as a focus and has a support manager and specialist; the manager helps keep client websites current with software and security patches. SchoolFlex is paid, with pricing available on request. RainStorm's founder says the company began in 1999 as a search engine consulting firm; the SchoolFlex site footer identifies RainStorm, Inc.
