What Principia is
Principia is a mathematics learning app for iOS and macOS that teaches topics from fractions through college calculus, with lessons focused on the reasoning behind formulas. Its curriculum contains eight tiers and 93 concepts, ranging from Numbers & Fractions to Calculus II & Proofs, covering material described as sixth grade through college level. Lessons use animated visualizations, guided problem walkthroughs, and links between mathematical topics. The free Explorer plan costs nothing and includes Tiers 1–2, 15 concepts, guided walkthroughs, live visualizations, and progress saved on the device; Tiers 3–8 are locked. Pro plans open all eight tiers and 93 concepts. Principia Pro Monthly is $6.99 a month, while Principia Pro Annual is $49.99 a year and includes a 7-day free trial. No account is needed to begin. An account lets paid subscribers sync learning data across devices. The company says it does not sell personal information or serve ads.
