The record

Purpose: Polaris is an IEP development tool for planning, writing and monitoring individualized education programs.
AI-assisted drafts: Polaris uses assessment data and generative AI to help create IEP drafts, present levels, standards-aligned SMART goals and instructional recommendations.
Assessments: Embedded assessment results flow into IEPs and are summarized in charts to show students’ strengths and needs.
Accommodations: Polaris recommends accommodations and modifications based on a student’s profile.
Progress monitoring: Polaris updates progress charts as teachers enter data and can alert teams when a student may be off track.
Integrations: Polaris connects with Unique Learning System, Inspire and Positivity; its browser extension can transfer information into supported IEP systems and web forms.
Browser extension: The Polaris browser extension is available for Chrome and Edge and can open a side panel in supported IEP, Medicaid, SIS and 504 portals.
Works alongside district systems: Polaris does not replace a district’s official IEP management system; educators transfer reviewed drafts into that system for compliance, team review and final approval.
AI privacy: Before AI processing, Polaris automatically detects and removes personally identifying information from uploaded documents, images or files; only anonymized information is sent to external AI services.
Security: Everway says sensitive data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 and at rest using AES-256, and that it uses least-privilege access controls and multi-factor authentication.
Compliance: The Polaris product page identifies COPPA, FERPA, GDPR and SOPPA compliance and ISO/IEC 27001 certification.
Support and training: Everway provides Polaris help articles, live and recorded webinars, and professional learning courses.
Intended users: Polaris supports special education teachers, IEP coordinators, administrators and related service providers working with students from preschool through transition age.
Headquarters: New York, New York, United States
Price from: $42.92/mo
