The record

What it does: pau. is a minimalist adult coloring app for iPad with hand-drawn pages and Apple Pencil support.
Core tools: The free tools include Fill, Soft Round, Fineliner, Marker, undo and redo, stroke adjustments, an eyedropper, and recent colors.
Premium brushes: Premium includes expressive brushes such as watercolor, oil, gouache, pastel, and chalk, plus Smudge.
Palettes: Premium adds reusable custom palettes and palettes created from photos.
Library updates: The maker says new hand-drawn coloring pages arrive every Friday, at about four pages per week.
Saving and offline use: Coloring progress is automatically saved on the device, and downloaded pages can be colored offline.
Exports: Users can save finished images and automatic time-lapse videos; free exports carry a pau. mark, which Premium removes.
Privacy: The maker says there are no accounts, ads, or cross-app tracking, and coloring progress, favorites, and artwork remain on the iPad.
Analytics and diagnostics: The privacy policy says TelemetryDeck processes pseudonymous product events and Sentry processes crash and performance diagnostics.
Subscription billing: Premium subscriptions are processed through Apple, renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and can be canceled anytime.
Preview: Eligible non-subscribers can use a one-time 72-hour preview of Premium brushes and Smudge; it is not an App Store subscription trial and does not bill automatically.
Support: The maker says it answers email personally at [email protected].
Audience and device requirement: The app is designed primarily for adults and requires an iPad running iPadOS 18.6 or later; Apple Pencil is optional.
