What Paperbacks.AI is

Paperbacks.AI is a web tool for turning an existing ebook front cover into a complete print cover. Upload the front cover, then add back-cover text, a spine and a barcode area in the editor before downloading the result. The site says its covers meet publisher specifications, including KDP and IngramSpark. A live preview shows the cover as you work. Design options include AI-generated back-cover designs, more than 15 premium fonts and a geometric pattern library for spines. Finished covers can be exported as PNG or print-ready PDF; PNG export is listed at 300 DPI.

The service offers 10 free credits without requiring a credit card. Its pay-as-you-go plan costs $1, paid once, with one credit per $1. AI cover generation uses one credit, while each PNG or print-ready PDF export uses five. The maker says there are no subscriptions or hidden fees and users pay only for what they use. Support is listed at [email protected].
