OptusNet Email
What OptusNet Email is
OptusNet Email is a free email service for customers who already have an OptusNet email address. Users can access it through webmail at webmail.optusnet.com.au or connect the address to third-party email clients. The service works on Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, and the web, with mobile, desktop, and browser access. Mailbox storage is 500 MB, and email aliases are not supported. Optus says its upgrades provide enhanced security and improved webmail functionality. For email applications, Optus recommends IMAP over POP3. Its secure settings list incoming IMAP on port 993 with SSL/TLS and outgoing mail on port 587 with STARTTLS or port 465 with SSL/TLS. Setup instructions cover iPhone, Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird, Gmail Client, and Apple Mail. An eligible Optus service is required, including mobile broadband, NBN, 4G or 5G Home internet, postpaid mobile, Fetch, or connected devices. Prepaid mobile and Optus Sport are excluded. New sign-ups are currently unavailable.
