Nature Picture Library is a web library for licensing and downloading nature photographs and videos for editorial and commercial work. It represents more than 500 photographers and videographers specializing in nature, wildlife and environmental subjects worldwide. Search covers images, footage, audio, PDFs and documents, with filters for collection, orientation, release status, licensing type and footage resolution. Images are available under rights-managed or royalty-free licensing. The library says pictures are selected for technical quality, storytelling, relevance and rarity, with scientifically accurate captions, Latin names and behavior descriptions. Registered users can download images directly. Prepaid image-credit subscriptions let customers select images over time, with costs based on the upfront commitment and free photo research included. The team also offers free research and can seek suitable material through its contributor network. Some images can be ordered as prints, although print availability varies.
