Markor

What Markor is
Markor is a free Android text editor for notes, to-do lists, and interoperable plain-text files. It works offline and stores files locally in a folder you choose. Supported formats include Markdown, todo.txt, Zim/WikiText, plaintext, CSV, ICS, INI, JSON, TOML, VCF, and YAML. Documents can be previewed, converted, and shared as HTML or PDF. Notebook keeps documents in a common folder, while QuickNote and To-Do use configurable text-file locations. Editing tools include syntax highlighting, auto-save, undo, redo, customization, and a dark theme. Markor can encrypt text files with AES-256, but that protection excludes pictures and attachments. Synchronization is not built in; separate apps such as Dropbox, Nextcloud, Seafile, Syncthing, BitTorrent Sync, FolderSync, OwnCloud, and Syncopoli can handle it, with Syncthing recommended by the project. The app requires Android 4.3 or newer, is distributed through F-Droid and GitHub, and uses an Apache 2.0 license.
