What Intego Personal Backup is
Intego Personal Backup is a paid macOS application for file backups, synchronization, restoration, and bootable backups. Personal Backup X9 can write to hard-drive volumes, external drives, removable media, network volumes, AirPort disks, iPods in hard-disk mode, and disk images. After an initial copy, incremental backups transfer only new or changed files when the source and destination remain the same. Scripts can run daily, weekly, monthly, or custom schedules, and tasks can operate without attention. The software shows previews, progress summaries, details, and logs. It can run Intego VirusBarrier before copying files, and disk-image destinations offer two encryption levels. X9 requires macOS 10.13 or later and 148 MB of free space. Version 10.9.29 is listed as compatible with macOS Tahoe. Mobile backup and ransomware protection are not included.
