Instead of ImmediatelyFast

ImmediatelyFast alternatives

ImmediatelyFast is a free, open-source Minecraft: Java Edition client mod for Linux, macOS, and Windows. It targets immediate-mode rendering, batching draw calls and sending data to the GPU efficiently. Its optimizations cover entities, block entities, particles, text, GUI and HUD elements, maps, and rendering from other mods. Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, and Quilt loaders are supported across many Minecraft versions. A configuration file lets you adjust performance or compatibility settings, and the project is designed to remain lightweight alongside most mods and modpacks.

    Lithium

    Free plan LinuxMacWindows

Broad client and server performance optimization — Lithium optimizes many Minecraft systems on both client and server instead of focusing on immediate-mode rendering.

  2. 2

    Exordium

    Free plan LinuxMacWindows

Reducing GUI rendering overhead — Exordium lowers GUI rendering to a configurable fixed framerate to free resources for world rendering.

  3. 3

    VulkanMod

    Free plan Open source LinuxMacWindows

Vulkan-based rendering on compatible GPUs — VulkanMod replaces OpenGL with a Vulkan voxel renderer, requiring Vulkan 1.2 hardware and breaking OpenGL-dependent mods.

  4. 4

    FerriteCore

    Free plan Self-hosted

Reducing Minecraft memory usage — FerriteCore reduces RAM use in block states, models, predicates, strings, voxel shapes, and baked quads rather than rendering speed.

    Krypton

    Free plan Open source LinuxMacSelf-hosted+1

Linux-tuned networking and server performance — Krypton optimizes Minecraft networking and entity tracking across client and server, with features geared toward servers.

    Nvidium

    Free plan Linux

NVIDIA terrain rendering with Sodium — Nvidium adds a Sodium-dependent, NVIDIA-specific mesh-shader backend for GPU-driven terrain rendering and culling.

Switching makes sense when your needs extend beyond rendering. Improvements depend on a CPU bottleneck, with slower processors benefiting more, while OptiFabric, OptiFine, LunarClient, and LabyMod are incompatible. ImmediatelyFast is client-only, lacks dedicated-server support, and does not target memory, networking, redstone calculations, GUI frame pacing, or alternate rendering engines. Weigh each option’s optimization scope, loader and platform support, hardware requirements, client/server reach, and compatibility before replacing ImmediatelyFast or adding another mod alongside it.
